Beautifully written, it tells the true story of two cats. One is the old, loyal, but independent Septi, very much his own cat, established as lord of his domain within Moon Cottage. The other is Otto, a tiny, delicate tortoiseshell kitten, who joins the household as the story begins and who, for her survival and in a manner particular to her, must set out to win Septi over. This wonderful memoir will ring true with all who love cats, and is a testimony and a tribute to that unique and rewarding relationship which exists between humans and their feline companions in which cats, in their splendid complexity, remain among us, but not of us....

Cats Of Moon Cottage Reviews
This was a nice book about how a family adopted a kitten and how she bonded with the elderly cat they already owned and how she grows. I won't say any more, but there are heartbreaking moments and I was in tears at the end. Overall it was a lovely recollection of the cats that lived at Moon Cottage.
The Cats of Moon Cottage tells the story of Septi and Otto and the humans who love them and are allowed to take care of them. It will appeal to all age groups, whether they are cat lovers or not. The well written story made me laugh, smile and also cry as there is the inevitable loss when you're living with pets. Peter Warner's illustrations are beautiful, very detailed and add to the story. The Cats of Moon Cottage by Marilyn Edwards
Read this and also volume 2 over recent weeks and really enjoyed these tales of these feline characters and the humans that inhabit their world. I liked the second book best because then they move to beautiful Cumbria and you get wonderful descriptions of the scenery and the sunsets.
I liked this one very much. Cried when one of the cats died because she captures very well the feelings one has, and the perspective of someone who can less tolerate abuse of animals than the pain of humans. Lovely book and a lot of fun to read.
Bedtime book about a very middle class cat household. The author is very clearly attached to her feline friends and has a keen eye for their behaviours and in as far as is possible with a cat their minds. An emotional roller coaster of a cat book.
What a lovely book.
I thought this book would be better than it was but it was okay. I love cats so it is good to read a cat story.
If you are a cat lover you will love this book. Dont do as I did and read it in public though - you WILL CRY!
as a cat lover, i absolutely adored this book.
