I know nothing about the original Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves so I found this to be a fun lighthearted romp, with an original setting and interesting characters. It is very short, but if you're looking for a quick fun read it will not disappoint.

2.5. I was expecting the retelling to take more liberties with the plot. But it followed the same story as the original with a change in period and setting. I'd recommend it for people who aren't familiar with the tale from the Arabian Nights.

It was decent. A modern version of a classic tale. Not exactly any surprises if you're familiar at all with the original. Would have liked at least a little more variation ... but it wasn't bad.
