I’m having a really hard time coping with the end of this series! A really hard time! Talk about the unexpected! I guess I should have seen it coming; I mean, the beginning of the series, book one, even said it was going to happen, but I didn’t think it was literal… This book defies the rules of good versus evil here, and I can’t quite cope! Nor can I get it out of my mind. This, although it bugs me to no end, makes this an awesome read! I love books that make me stop and analyze, re-think, and examine myself, and that’s exactly what Welti has caused me to do through this epic ending to such a good series.I’d love to tell you what happens, but I can’t… and likewise, I really can’t discuss the characterization here either, because I think it’ll give away the ending, but just know that this was a jarring conclusion that still has me reeling, hours after reading it. Amazing. And in all honesty, I can’t see how this series could end any other way, though I really wish it did! You have to read this. Trust me.To see my full review:

Just a heads up, this review will be for the entire trilogy, since I read them all in one sitting. No spoilers, though. From the first few sentences in the first book, I was hooked. T.S. Welti does not beat around the bush when getting to the meat of the story. There are many post-apocalyptic stories out there, and as a huge fan of the genre, I have read so many that the ones that tell the stories from a new perspective catch my attention. This story does that with ease.T.S.'s story world is a severely different and more hostile place than any of us can really imagine, and perhaps even more unnerving is that what happens in the book to cause the end of the world may not be all that far from possible. The story of surviving and maturing in such a cruel, unforgiving environment is told through the eyes of a young girl, Nada, the main character, who is enough parts vulnerable, enough parts wildly strong, and enough parts a slave to her own emotions that she is as realistic as any character could be. Not only does she have to deal with staying alive in harsh conditions, but she also has to go through the same mental and emotional development that any of us would, and that is where the real story is. With supporting characters that you hate one moment and love the next, you'll be swept into the same scary dilemma that Nada endures: who should she trust? Who is lying? Who actually loves her and who is vying for her death? Go ahead and try to guess while you're reading...and good luck with that. Welti's natural writing style will keep you reading and guessing and hoping and wondering until you feel as crazy as Nada feels, and then, just when you think you have it nailed...well, just read it.By the way, don't bother buying the first book alone. Buy the trilogy. Trust me, you're got going to be able to not NEED the second one as soon as you read the last word of the first one.

Buried Alive is the third installment of the the post apocalyptic romance trilogy No Shelter by T.S. Welti. After making the long journey back to the cabin, the group discover that Vic and his group of guardians has infiltrated their cabin, they have to work together to escape. They abandon the safety of the cabin in California and head to Washington to the underground city. Nada has mixed emotions as to whether its a good idea to spend the rest of her life in the underground city, and she is starting to question whether she wants to be coupled with Isaac forever. Nada is concerned that Issac is withholding the truth and she doesn’t know who or what to believe anymore. Vic and his gang are getting closer all the time and the strain is wearing. Just when Nada thinks she may be safe she is betrayed in the worse way imaginable and things are as bad as they get.I loved this book it flowed right from the second installment Left behind and you took off running. I loved the transition in characters, and how everything went topsy turvy, tons of little suprises, throughout. I should have paid attention the author wrote on her blog that she was not a fan of happy endings. I don’t want to throw a spoiler in there you’ll just have to read it yourself, but I can honestly say I did not see that coming. Great Great Great read I finished all three books in a day. I highly recommend them. I said it before this would be a great 3 part novel and combine all three novella’s into one book.I rate this 5 out of 5 stars

Urgh.By the time I reached the end of Buried Alive by T.S. Welti, I'd forgotten how it began (if you have read these, or rather when you have read these, you'll probably understand exactly what I mean). Unfortunately, it comes full circle and slaps you across the face in a reminder. My main points are a little spoiler-y, so read at your own risk if you haven't finished the books. (view spoiler)[ I'm usually an advocate for a shocking ending; I hate stories where everything always turns out okay. In this case, however, I genuinely wanted everything to be okay. I wanted everyone to survive. I wanted some closure. Instead, all I got was a big dollop of dissatisfaction and a couple of massive 'whys' hanging over my head.. (hide spoiler)] I didn't feel things were adequately explained at the end, but then again, considering what happened and from whose perspective the story was told, I don't suppose the protagonist was able to supply us with the 'why' either. I guess I'd say I really want to see the ending from someone else's perspective - perhaps an extra little short story from the perspective of Mary or Issac please?! Just give me some closure on this one.Like many people have said - this wasn't how it was supposed to end!!Anyway, yes. Read it. I'd still sincerely recommend it - great little short read. See, the ending has made me forget to mention the spelling and the grammar and all the other little faults. That's what a great story will do for you I guess!!

Buried Alive Book 3This was a hard one for me to review, just because I don't want to give away to much. This was a very good series. Enjoyed the story line. I think it is appropriate for ages 16+. There are a couple of small sex scenes in the series and some violence. I will not say too much about the third story other than read it, wow! I was shocked and surprised. The story continues with Nada, Issac, Daedric, Mary and the other girls. They are running to the government hid out with Vic hot on their tails. If you have read book 1 & 2 please read 3. You have to finish the series and find out how things turn out! Wonderful and entertaining series. What else can you ask for in a series.

The tormented soul mates with benefits, Isaac and Nada, take the next step in their relationship only to take two steps back because of jealous Mary, the cutter. Nada and her not-so merry clan of survivalist travel through the collapsed state of California searching for one of their own. They had to leave Isaac behind in the last episode, and now they have regrouped and face harsh travel conditions during their quest. Isaac appears out of nowhere and has some interesting cargo with him.I finished this book about a month ago. I was afraid to review it while basking in its glow. I thought that some time apart would give me a more objective view. Maybe, seeing other books would break the grip these characters have on me. It didn’t work. I still remember everything about this thriller turned romance novel. Okay, I’m nowhere near my late teens and early 20’s that sums up all the characters in this book, but I still read it with guilty pleasure.Soon I’ll be immersed in the third book of the No Shelter Trilogy: Buried Alive. I’m sure it will not disappoint.

I just have to say that I am one of those people that enjoy books that are not happy endings. I enjoy it when the story is real. That being said, the sap in me still hoped that everything would turn out well for Nada and Daedric and that they would live happily ever after. But, then I had to remind myself, this story is set in a dystopian future. In the end though, I don't think it could have ended another way. I will say it again, it was very well written and I enjoyed all the characters.

What... I just... no... that ending... just... wow. I hated it and liked it all at the same time. The bad side of humanity... the coldness of it was shown. Not everyone makes it in life and even then sometimes it's a sad tale all the way through. ...just wow. Reading the whole series was worth it to get to that pain staking ending o_o.

The romantic angst continues. Ugh! Here there are perfectly good women who could have led a sisterhood survival with the main character but instead this silly girl only sees the two men. Boys--as they are both a**holes. And what is with the ending? Did the author get tired of writing this as much as I tired reading it? I'm so sorry to feel this way about a book. The first one held such promise!
