I love this quirky picture book! This is one of my favorites,it is humorous, the text rhymes, the drawings are dynamic and expressive and the story is very cute. An 8-year old boy gets a skateboard for his birthday, but when he opens it up, mom gets a gleam in her eye, absconds with it and the story comes out that mom was a skateboard champ!

Definitely one of my favorite kid books. I bought one of my friends this book for her birthday (she is a mom, and she loves to skateboard). It is quirky and fun, and any mom who hasn't lost her sense of fun and adventure is sure to love this book! And, oh yeah, her kids will love it too!

A boy gets a skateboard for his birthday, but its his mother who takes off clickety-clack down the street. Written by a real skateboarding mom, this is a fun story about a who discovers that his mom is an old skateboarding pro. Great for a Mother's Day Storytime.

Loved this book when I was a kid. Remember when the author came to the school, and I begged my mom to get a book signed by her. Glad I did-still love the book.

This book was silly, but that's about all it had going for it. It was mainly about a rude mom.
