The Soul Bearer - and other Poems by Bex Pavia is a beautiful collection of poems that will touch yours heart and your soul.I bought this collection because I had previously read a few of the author's poems and found that I would think about her words often during the day. Smooth flowing her poems soothe you and bring a smile. From 'A Writer's Tale' until 'To' it will be hard to decide which poem you like the most because each one is better than the last. I do love 'The Book' 'Tread Lightly On The Echoes' and 'The Soul Bearer' a lot, but each poem is captivating and beautiful and 'Swallows' actually gave me chills and a lump in my throat.Don't miss out on this wonderful author and her book of Poems that are endearing and thought provoking. Thank you Bex Pavia for sharing your poems with readers. 5 magical stars!

I’ve been following this author on Facebook for some time and was an automatic fan as she shares my penchant for Epic Fantasy and elves and dwarves and mages, etc. One of my favorite things about this collection was the author’s use of medieval and fantasy settings for some of her poems. That was one of the parts I appreciated the most, though there is so much more to be praised. This is a compilation of poems ranging from romantic, to creepy, to tragic, to eerie. The author has a great grasp of rhyming and putting words to ideas and I enjoyed this collection immensely. I don’t normally read or recommend poetry, but this short series of pieces was highly entertaining and I laud the author on her fantastic work!

This is a charming, brief collection of poems. They vary from short to long, and uplifting to creepy. My personal favorites were A Writer’s Tale, Swallows, The Torturer, and Tread Lightly on the Echoes.Sometimes the poems were a tad confusing or the language a bit simple, and occasionally the flow of the rhythm would be disrupted as well. However, it wasn’t a big enough issue to take away from my enjoyment of it.The Soul Bearer is a solid, enjoyable piece of work. 4 out of 5!

I don't really know how to review a book of poetry, at least not when the book isn't silly rhymes for children like Shel Silverstein's books. I probably won't be reading these poems to my children in the near future, as they are overall kind of dark. They do all rhyme, so if that's important to you, then you're set with this book.

A well written set of modern poetry. A combination of work which boarders on the dark fantasy of literature, lost loves, hopes, dreams, fears and the need for a better tomorrow. It won't take you long to read through the poems, but each one will stay with you forever. You will want to read the book over and over again.

Thoroughly enjoyable - and I don't normally choose to read poetry! These delightful poems are full of emotion, drama and each one tells a beautiful story. I'll wil definitely look out for more of these offerings from a very talented author.

A slightly dark collection of poems that are masterfully done. Beautiful in their own way, I was absolutely enthralled in the story that resided within each poem. I sincerely recommend this collection!

This is a wonderful set of poems. I was especially moved by "The Missing Self". "Swallows" brought me to tears. I loved it.

What a refreshing break from my usual reads. I enjoyed the wide range of mood, setting, and tone. Quite evocative and well done. :)
