the jesus driven life reconnecting humanity with jesus 2nd edition revised and expanded Reviews
An amazing approach to the scriptures and Christianity. In addition to exegesis and theology that makes use of the most up to date knowledge and historical background, Michael Hardin folds in the Rene Girard's mimetic theory. One cannot do justice to that in a few short sentences. But I'm finding more and more diligent investigators and ministers are investigating that and incorporating it into their understanding. I am quite excited about it.
Could be life changing!Michael looks at the Bible and Christ through Girardian lens, and presents with you a compelling view on Christ's and what it means to die for us. He also presents you with explanations for a non retributive, non violent God.
This is my second read-through. It is a powerful piece that I will return to for years to come.
