But would he ever walk again, let alone finish crossing North America by inline skates? So begins part two of The Expedition, a stirring saga of hope, determination, and the kindness of strangers as Jason, taken in by the people of Pueblo, spent nine months in rehabilitation, legs pieced together with metal rods, before returning to the spot he was run over and continuing on. Inspired by the journey, others sought to join, including a middle-aged mother-cum-schoolteacher yearning to see the world. For the expedition wasn’t just a line on a map. The real expedition was the seed buried deep in the heart of anyone who has ever dreamed of knowing what lies beyond their valley, and of embarking upon a grand adventure to find out…...

5 excellent stars. This is book 2 of 3 and it was just as great as book 1. These books are the best adventure books I've ever read. They are full of adventure, humor, and inspiration. I am enjoying very much and can't wait for book 3 to be released. An amazing journey that I highly recommend reading.

Part two of the first human-powered circumnavigation of the earth--every bit as good as the first book. Jason Lewis' dedication to the trip is inspiring--many would have quit at so many points along the way, but Lewis persevered through every obstacle. Told with humor and insight, a thoroughly enjoyable read. Can't wait for book three.

Another incredible installment of this remarkable journey. Well written, engrossing and faithful to the eco-message throughout, although the repeated demonstrations of poor preparation and puerile response to adversity are starting to grate on my nerves. I will definitely look forward to the release of the third and final leg, but am hoping that the expedition matures a little in the meantime.

Another good book with cliffhanger at the end, only one problem...gotta wait for # 3. Allthough I found it ended rather abruptly and would of liked a different transition to book # 3.

Read the first book, "Dark Waters". Must read this one, too.
