I love all books by Alex King. Her characters are so very lifelike and human in all their foibles. This book especially was not the happy ever after that I expected. I do hope that someday in the future there will be a book to finish Effie and Niko's story. I must admit I felt a bit cheated with the ending.... Please, please don't leave us hanging.

Volume three of the Women of Greece series, this one is about one of the less sympathetic characters in the previous volumes. However, in this one we learn why she is the way she is. This one tells about her teen years. Hopefully more will be revealed in later volumes.
