It's a beautyfull story that would have had 4 stars if there hadn't been so many typo's in the version you could find on goodreads. I hope the paperback will have this error removed

A gorgeously written, meticulously researched archaeological mystery. Despite a heavy political message, Betrayed is a satisfying page-turner that is well-worth reading. See my full review here.

With proper editing and proof reading to pick up on all the typos, continuity errors, and peculiarly confusing sentences this story would have easily earned 4.5 stars.Full review to follow.
