5+ stars! This series is 100% NA greatness! It’s got everything you would want in an NA read. It’s funny, sexy, sweet and the characters are not at all annoying which seems like a rarity in most NA books anymore. Elle Kennedy really excels at writing these college/hockey books. The Deal was fantastic for me, but I have to say… I loved The Mistake EVEN MORE than the first book. As much as I liked Garrett, Logan really just made this book for me. When I read about John Logan in The Deal, I knew I wanted his book. I didn’t know it would be this amazing, but I’m glad it was! It’s Logan’s junior year. He’s a star hockey player who can get any girl he wants. He has a great set of friends and he’s loving life. At least that’s how it appears on the outside. The truth is, Logan’s life isn’t all rainbows and sunshine. His college life is good, but his home life… not so much. Grace is a college freshman. She’s an awkward girl who tends to babble a lot, especially around good looking guys. She and Logan make the sweetest pair.Logan and Grace’s relationship wasn’t easy in the beginning, but I loved that all the pesky relationship drama was over with sooner rather than later. It’s a relief not to have all that happening right at the end of the book! Logan is one of those characters that I connected to immediately. He had so much depth and was willing to sacrifice so much for family and for those that he loved. He was completely devoted and a stand up guy. There were times in the first half that Grace irked me, but overall she was a great character too. I kind of love that she didn’t give in to Logan so easily. I also loved that she was supportive of him and what he felt he needed to do with his life after college. One of the best parts about this book is that even with some of the more serious things going on in Logan’s life, it still made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion. It was straight up funny! I’m comfortable enough with my hetero status to say that if I did play for the other team? I wouldn’t just fuck Garrett Graham, I’d marry him.“Seriously, Grace, don’t stress. You know what they say- haters be hating, and bitches be bitching.”“Lorris? As in Logan and Morris? They fucking Brangelina’d themselves?”As soon as I finished reading this, I bought the audio version as well, because I know I will re-read in the future. I loved it that much. This is a series I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a college romance with steam and humor. 5+ stars!!! I’m so looking forward to the next one in this series! “I need you. I can’t stand the thought of being without you.” He releases a shaky breath. “You’re the last person I think about before I go to sleep, and the first person I think about when I open my eyes in the morning. You’re it for me, baby.”

Really good college romance! I have to admit, I still loved The Deal better (it had more of a "spark" to it), but this was a fun read too.Review to come :)

Title: The MistakeSeries: Off-Campus #2Author: Elle KennedyRelease Date:28 April, 2015Rating: 4.5 starsCliffhanger:. No HEA:(view spoiler)[ Yes (hide spoiler)]Elle Kennedy simply rocked my world! In February, I had the immense pleasure to read The Deal – absolutely cute and sexy new adult read that made me smile for days – and now, barely few months later, I am on cloud nine once again. Why? Because, well, Elle’s won over my heart for the second time! She’s just that good. I admit, I was a little bit afraid that given to my foul mood these past few weeks, I wouldn’t be able to fully enjoy The Mistake. I was actually sure that there is no way I would be perfectly satisfied with this novel. I mean, how can someone write a book that is just as good as The Deal was, in a matter of few short months? Masterpieces take time, right? Wrong. Elle Kennedy made me realize that if you’re talented enough, you can write and publish a book very quickly and still make it a hit. So praises for that! You probably all already were in love with John Logan while reading The Deal. How could you not be? This hockey player is a cause of plenty hearts attack and lost panties. But behind his cocky attitude, smart ass comments and man whoring ways is hidden a young man who’s hurting. Firstly, he has a painful crush on his best friend’s girl. Logan is fighting his pull toward Hannah of course, but it is tearing him apart. He’s ashamed, uneasy and lonely. He tries to forget about Wellsy – using the booze and sex, but it doesn’t help much. What’s more, he also has an alcoholic father who is dragging him and his brother down. Grace, on the other hand, is adorable girl with a heart of gold. Maybe a bit predictable and socially awkward, but in my opinion it worked pretty well. She’s a freshman and a virgin, who doesn’t have a filter when talking to hot guys, which frankly means she blabs everything; some stories were comical! When they meet, they discover they are pretty good together – they have fun, the normal and the sexy type too and Grace cannot believe her luck. She really did hit a jackpot with Logan. But he’s still mending his heart, trying to get over Hannah and doesn’t know if Grace is just a sexy distraction or something more…In her usual fashion, Elle Kennedy delivered very steamy, get ready to change your panties New Adult romantic comedy, that will make your heart swell, your lady parts beg for attention and laugh out loud like crazy lunatic. The Mistake simply doesn’t disappoint. Logan’s story is as engaging, thrilling and sexy as Garrett’s. I am sure that every person who has read and enjoyed The Deal, will love and cherish next part of Off – Campus Series. It’s a perfect mixture of anything that I appreciate in New Adult novels. And I am really mesmerized with it and cannot imagine how I will survive the weeks before additional part in the series releases. Those hockey boys have a big piece of my heart and it literally kills me to wait for Dean’s and Tucker’s story. I really hope the author will hurry up and grace us all with sequel just as quickly!! I need more. I am addicted to Elle Kennedy’s writing. She’s the boss. So please God, let the third book come out immediately.FOLLOW SMOKIN HOT BOOK BLOG ON: ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

2 stars!Earlier this year, I read and ADORED book 1 in this series The Deal. It was everything I could ever ask for in a NA romance – fun, entertaining, and truly a breath of fresh air with likable main characters, witty banter that had me grinning from ear to ear, and a believable romance that wasn’t just hinged on a heroine having big boobs or a reformed playboy hero like so many NA books today. Not only did I fall in love with the story and characters, I also found in Elle Kennedy a new author to book stalk and whose writing was so fresh and engaging I couldn’t wait to read more from her, especially this second book in this series. Thus, I’m really sad, disappointed, and quite frankly, a tad bit annoyed that I didn’t love or even like The Mistake much because believe me, I wanted to love it badly. One of the biggest issues I had with this book was the way the author portrayed college life and the character stupidity that resulted because of such a shallow, inaccurate, and offensive portrayal. “I’m allowed to hook up. No, I should be hooking up, because that’s what college is all about. Having fun and getting laid and enjoying the fuck out of yourself before you go out in the real world and your life turns to shit.”I don’t know why I feel so offended by this motto but I do. I think it’s the standard for NA books to have characters with this kind of mentality who treat college like it’s a huge joke. As a college student myself, I don’t find this to be true one bit. Maybe this kind of setting is present for some schools but it’s not a majority and I wish authors would stop portraying colleges like it’s a hotspot for orgies and guys are nothing more than manwhores and girls sluts. Aside from Hannah and Garrett (from book 1) the guys in this book – including Logan – have getting laid at the top of their to do lists and all the girls can’t help but want to get nailed and desperately want to lose their virginity, like the heroine Grace for an example (this is literally the first thought of hers I read).“I started my freshman year of college as a virgin. I’m beginning to think I’ll be ending it as one too.”The first couple chapters of this book consisted of Logan moaning over Hannah, him nailing girls, Grace stuttering and wondering if she’ll ever lose her virginity and somehow this is supposed to be considered normal and just pure entertainment value because I mean, it’s college right? *insert sarcasm* And if you’re wondering if colleges in the US are all like the way they’re portrayed in NA books (especially in this book), the answer is NO! I won’t hide that book 1 also touched on this kind of setting, but at least in that book the author didn’t allow her main characters to fall victim to that kind of mentality unlike Logan and Grace here. To build up on this aspect, the characters also made some really dumb and unbelievable choices that made me scratch my head and go huh. Logan and Grace officially meet in one of the cheesiest ways – him accidentally stumbling upon the wrong dorm room and happens to find her room instead (hmmm okay…). They’re strangers at this point (except Grace has only been fangirling about him for so long and can’t wait to tell her best friend about him ugh) and you’d think that since they don’t know anything about each other they’d chit-chat and that’d be the start of a potential relationship right? Instead, Grace – who knows absolutely nothing about Logan except that he’s HOT – invites him into her dorm and further invites him to watch a movie. And then they proceed to mess around. I’m sorry, but that’s something I find hard to accept considering they are complete STRANGERS at this point and have next to zero interaction. These problems I mentioned above are all issues for me because of my inability to separate fiction from reality and how easily I’m able to compare & contrast the story setting along with the character age so these things may very well not be issues for anyone else. But for me, these were kinks and hindered me from liking the book from the start. As the story progressed, I found myself relaxing a bit more as the humor, wit, and golden dialogues I know this author is capable of writing appeared and for a while I enjoyed the story. I liked that even though Logan was pining after his best friend’s girl, he was upfront about it, knew it was wrong, and definitely didn’t act on the attraction. His dedication and love for hockey along with his commitment to his family were admirable qualities and even made me feel for him. And when he made the biggest mistake of his life romance-wise, I liked that he didn’t crumble away and throw his hands up and say whatever. He fought for his girl and got his act together. Grace...what to say about this chick. Overall, she didn’t leave much an impression on me as a standout heroine who could match the hero. Like I mentioned earlier, the college setting snafu and Grace’s naiveté annoyed me so much and even though she made Logan grovel, there was nothing else about her that stood out. While the author painted a vivid background for Logan (hockey, family), there was nothing on Grace. I mean, when I think about her character my mind’s a blank slate whereas for Logan I feel sympathy, love, annoyance and compassion. The last quarter of the book took a nosedive for me as obstacles were swiftly cleared away with little development and oh my god...the part where Logan and his dad resolve their issues made me eyes roll. The engaging writing I came to love in book 1 was mostly absent in this book sadly. Once again, it may just be me but I felt the story was more telling than showing. The author tells me Logan and Grace screwed like rabbits. The author tells me time passed. The author tells me this happened while that occurred and it’s so frustrating to read such lackluster writing! The story did make me crack a smile here and there but the thing is, those parts all involved Hannah and/or Garrett. While I love those two dearly, I wanted something about Logan and Grace to make me sigh, swoon, or laugh over. It just didn’t happen for me.I am definitely in the small minority who feels like this book was a bust so don’t let my one opinion stop you from checking it out. No matter what, The Deal will always remain one of my top favorites but as I have zero interest in the other side characters (not the manwhore Dean, not Logan’s other teammates, not Grace’s backstabbing, drama-creating friend Ramona, etc...) I highly doubt I will continue with this series.ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

GIVEAWAY: 1 kindle copy. Find info here -> http://wp.me/p4uAPW-1kp So EFFIN good!!!Welcome to college in 2015!! In all honesty, college life hasn’t changed since I was in it. The parties, drama, school work are all still part of it. I love the college drama because it brings back memories. :) Okay, here is quick 2 sentence sum up of this book: One evening Logan ends up at the wrong apartment where he meets Grace. A MISTAKE is made that leads to Logan trying to woo his way back into her good graces. Below are some “get to know you questions” I made up for this couple. THE DATING GAME questions with Logan and Grace:1. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF GRACE?“Man, she really is pretty. Not drop-dead gorgeous or anything, but she has a fresh-face, girl-next-door look that’s seriously appealing. Freckles on her nose, delicate features, and smooth, creamy skin right out of a makeup commercial.”2.DURING YOUR FIRST CONVERSATION WITH LOGAN YOU COMPARED HIM TO THE INFAMOUS SERIAL KILL, TED BUNDY. WERE YOU NERVOUS AND THAT'S WHY YOU STARTED RAMBLING ON ABOUT RANDOM STUFF?“No. Well, maybe a little. I don’t know … yeah. Stranger danger and all that… But … you know…” 3. WHAT KIND OF GIRL ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?“I want someone to cuddle with and watch movies with, someone who wears my jersey and cheers for me at games, and cooks dinner with me.” 4. HOW HAS DATING LOGAN "CORRUPTED" YOU? ;)“He’s corrupted me with the dirty words he whispers when we fool around, and I like it. I like the thrill of being bold and wanton, and I lovethe way his warm flesh quivers when I taste him with my tongue.” 5. WHEN IS IT APPROPRIATE TO TELL GRACE YOU LOVE HER?“I’m not sure what the etiquette for I-love-you’s is. I told my first girlfriend I loved her after two weeks of dating. My second, after five months. So maybe I should split the difference and tell Grace… at the three-month point. Yeah. That seems like an appropriate amount of time.”~Now that you’ve gotten to know Logan and Grace a little better have fun reading about them in THE MISTAKE. One of my favorite parts happens at 63%. I had so much fun finding a gif for that passage. That's the great part about goodreads is even for those who haven’t read the story they are still able to join in the fun laughing at a gif. The Mistake is my second book by Ms. Kennedy and I’m anticipating more books in the Off-Campus series. ✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦✦RELEASE DATE: 4/28/2015Pre-order | order: http://amzn.to/1HGaivESERIES: Can be read as standalones. 4.5 stars!Another wonderful addition to Elle Kennedy's Off Campus series. Delivered with Elle's trademark humor and vivid characterization, The Mistake is another fantastic read for me. John Logan is the hot, handsome and popular college jock who is pining for his best friend's girl. Since she's off limits, he turns his amorous attentions elsewhere. Yes, John Logan is a bit of dog. Then he meet Grace Ivers. Grace is a freshman and a virgin. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Ugh, not another virgin. But there's a perfectly good reason why she is, so I personally didn't mind. Besides, this is New Adult, virgin heroines and manwhore heroes are staples, but that's where the similarities with other NA books end. Logan is a fantastic hero, and although, Garrett would forever be my number one, I gotta admit that Logan managed to make me laugh so hard with his crazy abbreviations and all around hotness. Grace is another likable and relatable heroine. I like the fact that the heroines in this series are more than just placeholders. They are actually as well developed as the heroes, which in NA, isn't usually the case.“Are you trying to buy your way into my good graces?”“Yup. And excellent pun, by the way.”“I wasn’t punning. My name just happens to be a homonym.”“I love it when you talk homonyms to me.”Much like The Deal, The Mistake's biggest strengths are its likable and relatable characters. John Logan and Grace Ivers may be your typical college-age kids but they both have goals, ambitions and life outside "finding the one". I liked that they act like college kids and their struggles and issues fit within that age range. These characters worry about school, they worry about their prospects after college, they worry about their future, etc. Logan, despite his carefree persona, faces a very uncertain future after college putting his dreams of playing professional hockey in jeopardy. Grace is trying to find her place in college away from her best friend's negative influence and under the watchful eye of her father. Logan and Grace had quite a rough start with regards to their relationship with Logan still stuck in his own misconceptions about his own feelings, hence, the title. But once Logan wised up and realized the huge blunder he made, he immediately set up to win Grace which was the best part of the book!“Give me another chance. Let me prove to you that I’m not an egocentric ass.”There's nothing quite better than reading about Logan putting in a Herculean effort of wooing his girl. Nothing. It was cute, romantic and hilarious at the same time. So many laugh-out-loud moments in this book especially with the boys getting a bit more page time this around. I simply love the banter not only between Grace and Logan but also between Logan, Garrett, Tucker and Dean. In romance, it's mostly the heroine with her girlfriends who would gab and talk about the finer points of the hero's physique. This time, we get a lot of the guys bantering and egging each other on but mostly just being there for one another. Another winner from Elle Kennedy for me! She definitely knows how to deliver a well written, sexy and sweet new adult romance that's low on the angst and high on the humor with a dash of touching moments. Yes, definitely recommended if you're looking for a light easy read. I wonder whose book is next?ARC provided by Elle Kennedy in exchange for an honest review.Logaaaannnnnnnnn!!!ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.Dear Logan,Love, GeriP.S.

I really, really need a John Logan in my life.A.m.a.z.e.b.a.l.l.s!! Plain and simple! I read The Deal a few months ago and while I enjoyed it, it didn't rock my world (I guess it's because I wasn't into NA romances back then). But after stumbling upon Pearl's and Nicoleta's awesome reviews (click their names to read them!) I decided to continue with Logan's story and oh boy I am so glad I did! Because despite his mistakes and many insecurities, I fell for him head over heels! I've even named our children.“I broke up with her to avoid getting into a serious relationship with her, and now it turns out that's what I wanted all along.”Yep, that's John Logan, aka Hottie McSexy. Having a thing for his best friend's girlfriend was driving him nuts, and when he met sweet and funny Grace he thought that he was using her as a distaction, so he messed up. Big time. But when he realized his mistake he was determined to win her back, even if he had to compose love poems and pose in his underwear. Grace was reluctant to trust him but eventually she gave in to his charm and seduction skills and holy alien babies! the result was explosions! fireworks! volcano erruptions! that led into melted panties, a streak of drool hanging from my mouth and believe me when I say this, being turned on while in public is really uncomfortable. I mean, I was in the bus and tried my best to hide what I was reading but I'm afraid that my tomato-red cheeks gave me away!“He's got this whole manly thing going on that makes me want to rip his clothes off and lick him like an ice-cream cone.”Amen sister, join the club! We can gather every Friday and worship Logan's abs and his toned arms and his sexy smile and his blue eyes and...ok, time to stop. Elle Kennedy is a freaking goddess! I still can't fathom how she can create so many different swoon-worthy male characters! Hotties here, hotties there, hotties everywhere! The Mistake was one of the sexiest books I've ever read but still it wasn't just about sex! It was also about alcoholism and dysfunctional families and broken friendships and problems we've all pretty much faced during our college years (but unfortunately there weren't delicious hockey players to distract us. Life is so unfair). The whole thing with Ramona was too close to the bone and honestly, I thought Grace was a far better person that I'll ever be. And so was Logan. My heart ached for him and his hopelessness about his future, but he was so admirable even when he was weak, such a complex and fascinating character that when you didn't want to do dirty things with him you wanted to hug him and make his handsome face smile again!“Just out of curiosity, what constitutes a 'nice cock shot'? I mean, is it the lightning? The pose?”I am pretty sure I laughed so hard my stomach hurt in this scene, and in many more! It was such a hilarious and amusing book that I couldn't hold back the tears while I chuckled! It should be illegal for Dean to open his mouth, and both Logan and Grace's narratives were pure entertainment! I loved Grace and her babbling, she was a really refreshing female MC and stars above! she never annoyed me, not even once! I totally understood why it was so hard for her to trust Logan, and her stupid jackass scene made me love her even more! Her whole relationship with Logan made me want to dance barefoot in a green meadow and roll in the grass and gather flowers and sing until I run out of air! They were witty, they were hot, they were funny, they were adorable!Elle Kennedy combined great characters and friendships, laughter and sex in the most appealing way and I have to admit that suddenly hockey became my favorite sport!P.S. The talk between Logan and Hannah didn't remind you of Friends and Joey's temporary infatuation with Monica?

There are always high expectations when you read a sequel to book that was so good that you worry if the next one will manage to keep up. Well, no worries here, because The Mistake was as fabulous. I don't know how the author does it but she, again, managed to deliver great story with great characters. And I'm gonna repeat myself here, this is how NA should be done! Now, excuse me, while Snoopy will do the dance again.- I loved the setting. College, sport, hockey, it all worked for me. - I loved Grace. The girl was smart and cute. She was a bit shy and timid at the beginning but once she caught her wind, she didn't take shit from a bitchy friend or Logan. And when Logan made his mistake, she stomped her feet and made him work for it, though she knew she would be giving him a chance.- I loved Logan. He was sexy, cocky and stubborn as a mule. I loved his persistence and the grovelling part. Once he realized that relationship with Grace is what he really wanted, and what he did was huge mistake, he never gave up. That boy sure knew what to do to redeem himself.- I loved their relationship. They were a very good match. Not only were they hot for each other but also talked to each other. They knew about their hobbies, their plans, their future, their dreams, there was simply connection there, and not only on the basic, carnal level.- I loved the bromance. Seriously, these four hockey hotties know how to make you laugh and melt your heart at the same time.- I loved the story. There was no unnecessary drama, it was funny and steamy. There was not too much sex in the book but still, it will twist your panties.- I loved the writing. The humour, the dialogue, the banter, POVs, it was all amazing. That Skype joke? Excellent! To sum up, if you're looking for something cute, light, heart-warming, swoon worthy and sexy, this one will do it for you. Highly recommend! Two down, two more to go. I heard Dean The Dick Shot is next;) Bring. Him. On. Elle Kennedy!

4,5 Persistent Stars. Logan thought he had feelings for his best-friend girlfriend. So when one night trying to forget about his messed of life he meets Grace, he’s surprised how he can’t push her out of his mind. They start to get closer until one fatal mistake pushes Grace away, making Logan realize too late that whatever feelings he could have before, are nothing compared to what he feels for Grace. But months pass and she wants nothing to do with him. Until they meet again and this time Logan is settled on proving Grace that she’s the girl for him. She only has to believe in him this time. I believe this series is on its way of becoming some of the best NA books of the moment. They are steamy, sweet, and hilarious and had just the right amount of drama and angst to keep us on our toes. From the first page until the very last one, I simply couldn’t put this book down. This was a completely addictive reading, and believe me I don’t mind being a Elle Kennedy junkie not even a bit. And despite being an easy reader to please, I’m weirdly picky with the details and there was some moments that made me itch: (view spoiler)[ mainly how Logan’s father situation was so conveniently resolved.(hide spoiler)].Overall, this a great book, very well written, funny and steamy and if you haven’t started this series yet, do yourself a favor and start reading them!! Rating:4,5 Stars. Characters Development:I loved, LOVED Logan. I didn’t like him more than Garret, but definitely as much. Yes, he had a moment of stupidity but he man-up, took the consequences and redeemed himself. He was so adorable and sexy that it was impossible not to love him. I really liked Grace as well. She wasn’t a doormat and she made Logan grovel when he certainly deserved it. But she was also supportive, fierce and very honest. She was a great heroine. I loved to see more of the others (namely Garrett and Hannah) and I can’t freaking wait for Dean’s book!! But what the eff was the deal with Ramona? What’s the point in making her such a bitch?Steam:Hot. At some point almost every day, I'm reading while my husband is sleeping. Sometimes it's after he's gone to bed, sometimes it's before he wakes up, either way, it's a constant. And it's normally not a problem. Then came THE MISTAKE. Even when I was able to hold in the sound from the bursts of laughter, I couldn't stop the full-body shaking. He was not happy. Oops. #sorrynotsorrySPEAKING of hashtags, the only thing that could have been better in the first 85% of this book, would've been if instead of Logan just showing up and making a scene in the dining hall, he'd've taken a selfie and tweeted it, #PipeDownStevens. Just sayin'.Full RTC.Pre-review:NEXT.And by chocolate, I mean this series. And also chocolate.

4.5 AMAZING GRACE STARS...Technically I am old enough to be Logan's grandmother!! I just googled "youngest" mother in the world ... OK, will take some of those entries on Wikipedia with a grain of salt. I really enjoyed the first book in this series. But, I did lower my expectations a bit starting this one. Why? Well, I have been burned in the past with too high expectations with a series. We have a bit of drama, we have a bit of lust, we have a bit of everything really. Logan is so cock sure of himself. I love that Grace does not bow down to his total manliness.... she is strong, independent, knows what she wants... she does want him but she is not going down without him having to grovel.Friends! Mmmm, I don't think so ...I won't say too much as you are better off just reading it without seeing too many quotes.GOD THIS GUY IS INCORRIGIBLE. AND TOO DAMN GORGEOUS FOR HIS OWN GOOD. HIS CHISELED JAW IS COVERED WITH SCRUFF, AS IF HE HASN'T SHAVED IN DAYS ....The cover is perfect to depict Logan so I am not even going to waste my time on Pinterest looking for him ...Loved meeting the characters from THE DEAL!The Ivers family practically founded Massachusetts, and we've got some Scottish and Irish roots, I think.Of course you do, Grace... no wonder I fecking loved you. There are some real LOL moments in this book. I was grinning like an ape for a lot of it. I gave the last book 4 stars. I think Logan's struggle and his commitment to family was really heart wrenching and that is why it was maybe a better read for me.Cannot wait for the next book in the series. Dean, maybe?.... AND AN EPILOGUE!!!

He doesn't want to lose his friendship, so he decides to go out and screw Hannah out of his mind. It isn't hard for him to find a willing woman, since the guy oozes charm. But then an address mix up to a party lands him to Grace's door, a college freshman. Logan starts talking to Grace after finding out they share a mutual like of action movies, something he hasn't done with any girl in a while. Graces proves to be the perfect distraction, or at least she seems to be. He is unsure about his feelings for both Grace and Hannah. Unfortunately, things go down that cause Grace to push him away. Logan is determined to not let Grace go.I can't believe Elle Kennedy did it again. I applaud you. This was a great second book in the series! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little scared of maybe being disappointed with this one, which can happen with the second book of a series, but that was SO not the case here. This book was full of steam and humour. I LOVED Logan! How could I not? He was funny and very easy going, not to mention really hot! I even really liked Grace. She was a freshman and a virgin, and very sweet. She doesn't really fit in with anyone, and definitely has her quirks which were very humourous. I totally liked her personality. She was adorable and perfect for Logan.●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●"You're the last person I think about before I go to sleep, and the first person I think about when I open my eyes in the morning. I loved seeing Garrett and Hannah in this book, as well as some new characters make an appearance. I had some great laughs with this one, and the steam was super-hot for an NA book. I loved seeing another part of Logan that we didn't get to see from the first book. There was more to him than what meets the eye. He has to deal with an alcoholic father and that was something that was hurtful for me to read. I was so glad he met Grace and had her support through some of those tough moments. Overall, I was very happy with Logan's book and seriously can't wait for Tucker and Dean to get their own book...hopefully. If you read and lovedThe Deal as much as I did, than you must give The Mistake a read as well. I highly recommend this one.~ARC gifted to Kris & Vik Book Therapy Cafe in exchange for an honest review.~

4.5 StarsHe absolutely makes me nervous. He's John fucking Logan, one of the most popular guys at this college. And I'm Grace fucking Ivers, one of thousand of girls who are crushing on him.You know what I love? A sexy bad boy. Know what I love even more? A good grovel. What else? A sassy and sharp witted heroine that makes the sexy bad boy work for it. So this book? My golden trifecta. If you've read The Deal, then you remember Logan, Garrett's best friend and roommate and also the poor bastard that manages to get a crush on Garrett's girlfriend. Seemingly Logan has it all, his choice of girls, a promising hockey future and infamy on campus. But deep down everything is not quite so perfect. His promising hockey future? A mirage that he perpetuates to his friends because of a secret he hides. His pick of girls? Irrelevant because he can't have the one he wants. But then knocking on the wrong door changes the course of his life when he meets Grace Ivers.Grace Ivers is an introverted freshman with a mild case of OCD that's as endearing as she is quirky. Prone to babbling when she gets nervous, I knew just after a few short lines that I'd love her. Her internal dialogue never failed to bring a goofy smile to my face.I've given handjobs before, plus a few blowjobs that I know were a huge success because...well, semen and all that. but I don't have enough experience to consider myself an expert penis-wrangler or anything. What starts out as an unlikely friendship quickly turns into something more. Unfortunately before Logan realizes just how perfect Grace is for him he manages to fuck things up so perfectly there may be no fixing it.I'd say this book is split in 2 halves; 1. Pre-monumental fuck up and 2. Post-monumental fuck up. And in between those two there's one deliciously perfect grovel. As much as I liked Grace in the first half of the book, I absolutely loved her in the 2nd half. She's a lot more assertive and self-assured in the second half. She really grows into her own and becomes that much more endearing. To be honest seeing how Logan was crushing on Hannah in the last book and this one I was afraid that he'd be "settling" for Grace. But that was never the case, not at all. As a matter of fact, I loved how the author handled that situation. I seriously loved every page of this book. The humor and banter between the guys (and my beloved manwhore Dean) was pure gold.Just out of curiosity, what constitutes a 'nice cock shot'? I mean, is it the lighting? The pose?""Well, the trick is, you've gotta keep the balls out of it.""Seriously," Dean insists. "Balls aren't photogenic. Women don't want to see them."As for Logan, let's just say my lust love for Logan never wavered. Well it may have shaken slightly at one point but boy did he make up for it.Trust me, baby, you're the only woman I want. The only one who gets me going."Everything the man said and did had me feeling all warm and lusty inside. There was the one "friend" of Grace's, Ramona, that I wanted to punch in both ovaries and then not-so-gently push her off a bridge because hello twat alert! I was glad to see that Grace wasn't such a pushover with her as she was in the beginning, but hopefully she never gets a book. I swears every time I read her name all I could think of was crazy Ramona from Real Housewives and I wanted to reach through my kindle and throttle her.True story ;)Aside from that, I really loved this. Logan was absolutely swoon worthy. I loved him and Grace together. I loved him in general. Sure you get another hero with "daddy issues" but I couldn't find it in me to care. Belonging. It's the only way to describe the exquisite rush of sensation that washes over me. His lips BELONG on mine.If you loved The Deal, I'm almost positive that you'll love The Mistake. I know that I sure as hell did and I absolutely cannot wait for the next book. I'm hoping it will be my manwhoring Dean. If the set-up in this book is what I think it is then his book is sure to be one verra interesting read.ARC courtesy of author in exchange for an honest reviewFor more reviews visit

*****FOUR STARS*****{BR with Mel, Sharon, and Dee}I really enjoyed this book. It had some lovable characters, a few laugh out loud moments, and definitely several panty melting inducing scenes as well.Although I found this an enjoyable read, I couldn't help but compare it to "The Deal", and find that it didn't quite measure up. I didn't like that Logan was so hung up on Hannah, and then the realization later on just made me roll my eyes a bit. Grace was a very head strong heroine and she didn't put up with any of Logan's crap. After he F's up royally with her, she makes him suffer for quite a while. I thought she kind of was a little too harsh with him and not quite enough with her supposed best friend, Ramona.Logan had his swoon worthy moments, especially when he saves Grace's reputation after some slanderous comments are made about her on the internet. AND his tenacity to win her affections back had my heart fluttering at times. His family dynamic was pretty messed up and his reasons for turning down the chance to make it to Pro Hockey was not really believable to me.But there were some very memorable funny moments and once Logan got his head out of his ass, I was rooting for this couple to resolve their issues and get their HEA.Overall, this series is pretty fabulous and is one that is not to be missed!! If you haven't already, go out and get these books! You won't regret it!!

4 StarsThis will be short because iPhone. And lazy.I really enjoyed this...just not as much as The Deal...which is odd as I truly enjoyed both Logan and Grace just as much - if not more - than Garrett and Hannah. So far I have been very happy with Kennedy's female leads. They are level headed young women. And, most importantly, they manage to avoid causing me to harbor homicidal tendencies toward them - a seemingly tremendous feat these days it seems. However, I felt that this one was a little slow to get going...and I just didn't find the conflict here to be as compelling as I would have liked. Otherwise, another Kennedy winner.I'll be curious to see what happens with the walking STD that is Dean in book three. He's perhaps a little too skanky for my NA tastes lol.

    |4.6 stars|“I was comparing her lips to this cherry-red Cutlass I fixed up when I was a kid. Drawing on my own experience, that kind of thing.”“You should have compared them to cherries, dumbass.”He’s right. I should have. I’m a terrible poet and I do know it.Blurb: He’s a player in more ways than one…College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance. Now he’s going to need to up his game…After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat… and she plans on driving him wild.I laughed so hard while reading this book it's a miracle I can talk. And I don't think I loved this one more than The Deal, I just love them the same.Kennedy has this thing going on that she can make me laugh, swoon and get all hot in the same paragraph. And that's amazing! I had such a great time reading this story and I can truly say I did not hate any of the main characters at all and boy, I did love Grace! You all know I always find something I don't like in a female character but I honestly adored Grace. There's nothing I would change about her.And you gotta love the girl. I mean, she's tough and real and funny, sweet, caring and she's sassy and smart and she brings the good out of people. I enjoyed reading her the whole book. Her decisions were good no matter what simply because she did things from her heart. And I believe the way she was raised made her that awesome. I liked her parents' relationship and their divorce and I loved the way her brain worked and I also loved her position about her sexuality and how free she was and I wish there were more female characters that in tune with their bodies.I like and respect a girl who doesn't play games and who is true to hearself no matter what. That's Grace. She's just so cool to be around! Gosh, I loved her.Aaaand then we have John Logan. How could I describe John Logan?Yep, something like that.I absolutely loved this man! Reading him was such a pleasure. He was loyal and funny and romantic and sexy and such a jackass. I couldn't stop smiling the whole time I was reading the book. There was something I really fucking loved and it was that he realized what was going on with him and Hannah early in the book. And I loved that Hannah was the one who made him see the truth and I appreciated that because I didn't want to read a whole book where he was feeling guilty about his feelings and yet trying to make a relationship with Grace work.Anyhow, I liked how he didn't run away from his feelings and how he fought. Because boy, Logan fought for Grace through the whole book in one way or another. His situation with his father was pretty hard and I got mad when his brother made clear Logan couldn't go pro and I found it so selfish even though I could see what Jeff sacrificed in order to help his their father and run the business. Their situation wasn't easy. (view spoiler)[I'm so relieved their dad went to rehab. (hide spoiler)]And lemme tell you how much I loved Logan and Grace's dynamic! They worked together so great. They're just so perfect for each other and they were so cute and sexy and sassy! I just can't put in words how wonderful they're together. You have to read it.The steamy parts? But let's not forget alsoFave couple! They're just oh so cute. You know what I didn't like? Ramona. I didn't like her since the begining because I just did not like the way Grace felt around her.Friends are supposed to make you feel good and loved and understood but Ramona wasn't doing that. And kudos for not slut-shaming. I hate that, I really, really do and those mean bitches were just mean bitter bitches and nothing more.Thank you, Kennedy. Also, I don't know why I suddenly got the idea of Dean's being gay. Maybe it was the whole freshman recruit thing but I can't say I hate the idea. It wouldn't be bad but yeah, just my opinion. So, overall it was fucking great book and I'm seriously thinking about re-read The Deal and then re-read this one!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

John Logan feels!I've buddyread this book with my pretty sis Bea who by the way, just celebrated her birthday yesterday. Belated happy birthday, sis! :) (Click her name to read her awesome review) :)The Mistake is the second book of the Off-Campus series. This time around, the story focuses on John Logan, star defenseman of Briar's hockey team, and Grace Ivers, a freshman girl who's been infatuated with him ever since she attended college at Briar. After Logan mistakenly went to the wrong room which was Grace's, the sexual tension slowly built up between them. Being a popular and desirable hottie, Logan didn't plan to seriously fall for Grace since he's got tons of personal issues. Grace on the other hand, was extremely attracted to him so when Logan practically dumped her, she promised to never again engage herself with him. Too late because Logan finally realized his 'mistake' and is now chasing after her.Although I like the first book much better, this book is still a very fun and enjoyable read. Since The Deal, I already found Logan's character interesting so I decided to really read it ASAP because I feel like I'll be missing a lot if I won't. And wow, I really loved it! The story was typical college romance but it didn't feel like a cliché to me. It's because the story is just written so good! The main characters are also the cutest thing ever! Logan and Grace made me fall in love with their romantic interactions and steamy encounters. The chemistry was undeniable and the relationship development amazed me. There was also no insta-love and no cheating involved, and the spark was already visible the moment they collided. Not only did this book offer swoon-worthy moments and sexy times, but there was also family drama that made me tear up at some point. Plus, there were lots of funny moments that made me cracked up so many times I lost count! (Highlight of the year: The red velvet couch. Lol) I especially love the "wooing" moments here. Isn't it so great when a guy extends so much effort just to ask for the girl's forgiveness and to prove that he's worth a second chance? Talk about the feels!Elle Kennedy quickly becomes one of my favorite New Adult authors. It's hard not to fangirl with her because her writing style is especially the best! There's emotional depth in her stories and the humor totally makes them an overall entertaining read. Plus, she really knows how to draw brilliant characters. What more can a reader ask?Rating:

4.5 Understanding What You Actually Want Stars * * * * 1/2Spoiler FreeEarlier this year I had the extreme pleasure of reading The Deal by Elle Kennedy (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...). I blatantly stated my admiration of how she took a genre, New Adult, and made it work for someone who usually doesn't gravitate to it. I went on to talk about how she used all of her talent to make her characters not whine or manipulate to get what they wanted and just "manned up" time and time again. I was so happy about this book I begged all of my friends and anyone who would listen to read it. And they did....and most felt the same way I did. In this next installment, The Mistake, we continue with the characters we met in the previous book plus our new love interest for Logan. Ah.... Logan.Logan, Garrett's best friend has been dealing with a huge problem...we had an inkling of it at the end of book one...He seems to be crushing big time on Hannah...Garrett's woman. Yup... this is not good...and he knows it... and feels all types of bad stuff...shame, want and just unease... He is having a real hard time dealing with all of it ...so booze and broads are the way he is blocking out these confused feelings. But they are not really working and now his other buddies are getting weird about his crankiness and anti social behavior. He realizes he just has to suck it up and stop behaving like an ass.....and he will after this last party. We meet Grace... she is a freshman and has led the uneventful life of smart, capable and predictable. The only way she has colored outside her lines is with the encouragement of Romona, her childhood friend. They were both kinda opposite in ways...and Grace allowed Romona to push her to her limits...But this friendship sort of worked...and they decided to apply to Briar and room together.Once again, Grace is being pushed by Romona. There is a party happening and the target is Dean, star Hockey player...for Romona has him in her sights and will not let up for anything. She insists on having Grace come...and there they are at the house. Logan is there too...and so drunk, he will not remember bumping into Grace after he finishes with some type of hook up in the upstairs bathroom. Grace cannot believe how amazing he looks in person and just files the meeting away in the back of her mind. Logan is realizing he is lost and one last escape from the house with Garrett and Hannah all lovey-dovey proves it. He high tails it to a gathering he was told about but cannot remember the number of the room....ending up by mistake at Grace's dorm room. She opens the door, stunned seeing him there. He asks about the gathering, confirms he must be in the wrong place and explains he has no phone to see where. Grace, when nervous blathers...and because she is really nervous with this muscular God in her doorway, she talks about stranger danger, Ted Bundy and serial killers. This is so damn cute...Logan just kind of watches...and assures her he is no threat...and just wants to use her phone. With ever relationship or meeting... there is that connecting point... it is something we all have experienced in our lives...it is when we know we have something with this other person...It doesn't have to be earth shattering...it just has to mean a little something which reveals an insight to them which you can hold on to...and in the revealing of Grace's love of action flicks, these two had that moment.Things happen... touches and kisses which ring bells and whistles...and both of them get really carried away...and then not....Logan and Grace both kinda freak out... him with a quick exit and doubt...her with a feeling of meh...Logan doesn't know what to do with this doubt... it bugs him big time and confronts Grace the next day. After they figure out their issues... these two sort of hang together a bit... but during all of these times...there are other issues happening ... family promises and responsibilities hamper Logan. He is awash in misery...his father is an alcoholic who just cannot seem to make rehab stick. He has lived for a large part of his young adult life with a missing dad...either missing figuratively or just checked out in the booze. His other brother Jeff has run the auto shop and handled the dad so Logan could go to college and play hockey. Promises were made... time is running out for Logan... he will soon have to give up everything he loves to relieve Jeff and take over the shop and care of the dad. Grace is fighting new experiences too...she is feeling like she is only following in Romona's footsteps...the only friends she has made are Romona's and she doesn't even like them all that much. They have caused her distress and she is thinking maybe this roommate thing with her childhood friend is not the best. Grace is happy with Logan; she decides she wants to be WITH him...and when all of it comes together...Logan fumbles...he says and does somethings which cause pain for both...It only takes a moment and conversation with a good friend to figure out he effed up big time. Grace is important to him and he wants to fix it... he needs to fix it...This is a simple yet complicated love story that just works... the conflicts are real not manipulated. I would suspect those who went to college and had the coming of age experience there... would relate to this.Because during those years... so many things can happen...The pressure of new people and the baggage they bring... the feeling of finding your way in a big ocean after being in the small high school pond. Understanding your bodies and all of the urges which can cloud your judgement without the buffers or safety net of restrictions by the parental figures in your lives...These are things which can just be the tip of the iceberg in maturing...and they are touched on in this story. The other thing I loved was the sex is not porn perfect... it is kids being who they are and all of the doubt and hang ups of it all. And the moments when Logan figures it all out... swoonworthy. In fact, Logan is The Man... He makes mistakes and works to rectify them. He is loyal to a fault with his family; his heart will make you wish he was part of your family. His love for Grace and willingness to go the extra mile for her... priceless. He will be your stealth book boyfriend. Grace is wonderful, too. She is not a weeping willow- she has an inner core of what she thinks is right and sticks to it. She is fortunate to have parents who each in their way gave her the foundation to be who she is and have their support. She makes some tough decisions, sticks to them and in the end... they pay off. She grows on you...and you will like her.Elle Kennedy has taken a time where people develop into who they will become. She has stripped it down to the basics and made it relatable. I was able to put myself into these people's lives and be there with them every step of the way through their POV's. The drama and issues are things which many may have experienced in their own lives...here we just get to see how it can just come together and be good. This is not an earth shattering story...but it does give us a love which is earth shattering for our Grace and Logan...and in the end...isn't what we all want?I am looking forward to the next fella and his story...Maybe Dean...we shall just have to wait and see.~~~ Before Reading ~~~OMG OMG OMG I just got my arc for this! I am so excited... I cannot wait to start....Damn Real Life getting in the way....Hang in there Logan.... I will be there to hold your hand soon...A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review. For more Reviews, Free E-books and Giveaways

The Mistake (OC 02), by Elle Kennedy: 4 “Barn Burner” Stars. It’s another victory for the Off Campus series as hometown favorite John Logan alternately stumbles and grand gestures his way into the heart of sweet, little freshman Grace Ivers, in Elle Kennedy’s The Mistake.THE PLAYERS:John Logan: 3 time National Division I Hockey Championship winner. Coveted by several pro teams; destined to play for none. Obligated to care for his alcoholic father after graduation. Lonely. Manwhore. Pines for his best friend’s girl. Then he meets Grace Ivers. Grace Ivers: Undeclared, socially awkward, freshman. Prone to incoherent babbling; obsessed with Ted Bundy. Fails to make new friends. Still has her V-card. Then she meets John Logan. Logan makes aimless passes at Grace; some connect, but none score. An opening presents itself when Grace offers up her V-card, but he misses the shot. By the time he realizes his mistake, it’s the end of the period. And Grace is gone. “All this time… what I really wanted was to spend time with someone; someone who makes me laugh; someone who makes me happy. Someone exactly like Grace. I broke up with her to avoid a serious relationship, but it turns out that’s what I wanted all along. I screwed up.” ~ LoganLOGAN: 0 - GRACE: 0 Logan’s in it to win it, and no one will stand in his way. Including Morris, Grace’s new love interest. Seconds into the 2nd Period, Logan neutralizes his rival. HE SHOOTS… Grace: "He won’t see me again because you told him he couldn’t.”Logan: “Is that what he told you?”Grace: “Not in so many words.”Logan: "What words did he use?”Grace: “He insisted I give you a chance, and told me you and him were ‘family’?”Logan: “In Mob Boss. It’s this role-playing game. We’re the Lorris crime syndicate.”Lorris? As in Logan and Morris? They fucking Brangelina’d themselves?…AND HE SCORES!Grace tries to rally with a list of 6 Grand Gestures for Logan to complete, the first of which is a poem: Logan: “I compared her lips to a cherry-red Cutlass I fixed up when I was a kid.”Tucker: “You should have compared them to cherries, dumbass.”“He’s right. I should have. I’m a terrible poet and I do know it.”Thankfully, Logan’s shooting is better than his metaphors. He scores a hat trick by finishing the list in record time, following it up with sweetness and snuggles, and slapping in an orgasmic deflowering at the end of the second period. LOGAN: 4 - GRACE: 0 - MORRIS: 0 At the top of the 3rd, Logan almost loses his lead, when a family crisis causes him to question Grace’s commitment to the game. Grace responds by backhanding a solid, “I love you, you stupid jackass”, straight between the pipes. Logan retaliates with a buzz beating Grand Gesture, and it’s GAME OVER! As John Logan chalks up another victory for team Off Campus. The Mistake (Off Campus 02), by Elle Kennedy: 4 “Barn Burner” Stars. In the end, I liked the second Off Campus book just as much as the first. Logan is all kinds of swoony - not to mention the King of Groveling – and the overly chatty, neat freak Grace reminds me a bit of myself. Factor in Kennedy’s signature low angst storyline, witty dialogue, and great secondary characters, and The Mistake was a real Barn Burner. 3.5 Stars”It’s funny. Less than a week ago I was bemoaning the lack of excitement in my life, and now look at me – sexy hockey players showing up at my door to excite the hell out of me. Fuck it. I’m giving myself an award.”This second installment in the Off-Campus series is about John Logan, best friend and hockey teammate of Garrett Graham from book one of the series. Logan’s stuck on his feelings for his best friend’s girl Hannah and has been staying away from the happy couple of book one of this series, which if you living under a rock please pick up- I loved it. Logan has been doing the man-whore partying routine until he meets freshman Grace Ivers by chance. These two have a great connection and the author’s humor is so enjoyable. As for Logan’s feelings for Hannah and his realization about Grace…it was so very cute.”But… am I wishing I’m in his place with her, or in his place in general?”Logan’s realization comes a bit too late and so we are awarded John Logan in full blown wooing mode (again a lot of fun). “Are you trying to buy your way into my good graces?”“Yup. And excellent pun, by the way.”“I wasn’t punning. My name just happens to be a homonym.”“I love it when you talk homonyms to me.”On a negative note, there were many scenes I enjoyed and I really liked Logan and Grace but for me, there were so many other avenues the story could have visited than the course the author brought me and I found myself a bit underwhelmed. I must mention that Logan’s alcoholic father issues that were magically fixed just in time was a tad on the eye rolling side for me and I think I would have preferred Grace’s father being Logan’s teacher story line instead. Overall, I love how the author’s portrays this house full of hockey players and their banter with one another and I’m looking forward to Dean’s story and hopefully the man who tried sporting that beard, he seemed like so much fun!

It has been a long time since I read 'The Deal' and I was worried that I would have forgotten important details. Fortunately, that didn't happen. Although it is part of a series, 'The Mistake' can be read as a standalone. This time around, the focus is on John Logan, aka Logan, and Grace. Like the couple that started this series, the two seem to be an unlikely pairing. He's a popular, star hockey player on campus, well-known for sleeping his way through the female student population. She's a shy virgin, prone to fits of incoherent rambling when nervous. The two meet by chance one night and become fast friends. Logan is looking for a distraction to take his mind off of his best friend's girlfriend that he's been secretly pining over. Before he knows it, his feelings for Grace have completely superseded whatever misplaced feelings he attached to his best friend's girlfriend. However, by the time he realizes how he feels, it may be too late. It is only after he's royally screwed things up with Grace that he comes to terms with his feelings for her. She won't return his calls or have anything to do with him.As expected, the two eventually work everything out. Thankfully, Grace doesn't let him off the hook easily and makes him work for her forgiveness. I hate it when heroines forgive major infractions with a cursory apology, so I was glad that didn't happen here.Although this story was predictable, it was still highly enjoyable. The characters were great. The dialogue was hilarious at times and touching at others. It was an all-around fantastic read!

4.5 Stars!Well done Elle Kennedy, well done! I wasn't expecting to like this one as much as The Deal but I did, dammit. Even more than the first! Logan was.....Grace was......not annoying at all! Yep, still shocked! I love the banter between the guys......Garrett, Logan, Dean, Tucker! I can't wait for the rest of the books in the series! The Deal would have been perfect without that little thing in the end.....you know, the thing. The thing wasn't really in this one! I don't like the thing. Another Elle Kennedy winner people!

5+++ Laughing-out-loud 'til I practically pissed myself Stars!College days. Oh, those good ‘ol college days. My personal college memories may be slightly foggy … not sure what exactly to blame that on … probably the profound amount of partying that I did. Yes. I did. Regardless … this book did bring back some pretty fond feelings. So in an homage to those fantastic times I bring to you, The Mistake version of:Never have I ever …❉ Never have I ever … ended up in the wrong place when looking for a party.❉ Never have I ever … made a ‘mistake’ with the opposite sex.❉ Never have I ever … made a guy do ridiculous things for me in retaliation for that kind of mistake, just so I could laugh behind his back (and in his face).❉ Never have I ever ... done ridiculous things, for a guy who I made a mistake with, all for the sake of a second chance.Anyone drunk yet? Admittedly, I have done all those things … so I couldn’t ask any of those questions, and would have to drink if someone asked me.Here are some Never have I ever statements that I could make before reading The Mistake:❉ Never have I ever … laughed for 2 full days over a book!❉ Never have I ever … shared dick pics over the internet.❉ Never have I ever … enjoyed a NA RomCom more!Truly, I hadn't done any of those things ...Not until I read The Mistake.I LOVED this book! By far the funniest of the year ... heck, one of the funniest, ever. I've read a few Elle Kennedy books, and have enjoyed them all, but this one is my favorite. I can't wait for more!If you haven't read her wildly popular release The Deal, I highly recommend you do!Order on AMAZON:The DealThe Mistake

Another steamy, swoon worthy, romantic comedy from Elle Kennedy. I have really enjoyed this series so far. Logan and Grace were great characters and they shared some wonderful moments, but I felt like there was something missing, and I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it was their issues and how quickly they were resolved, or maybe my expectations were too high. idk. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, I just think it had the potential to be phenomenal. Regardless, the writing and characters are excellent, and I'm looking forward to continuing this series.

“Are you trying to buy your way into my good graces?”“Yup. And excellent pun, by the way.”“I wasn’t punning. My name just happens to be a homonym.”“I love it when you talk homonyms to me.”There are books you read in a week, there are books that you might even finish over a couple of days, and then there are those addictive little gems that you inhale all at once, reading non-stop, often in the wee hours of the morning, showing complete disregard for your real life responsibilities, and loving every blissful moment of it. Flawlessly written—as I’ve now come to expect from this terrific author after the pleasant surprise that was The Deal—this is a story that had me grinning cover to cover, and while it had the perfect combination of engaging plotline and fulfilling character development, this was first and foremost a fun, heart-warming read. One I will definitely want to re-read very soon, whenever the fussy reader in me starts aching for a book to make me smile.“He’s John f*cking Logan, one of the most popular guys at Briar. And I’m Grace f*cking Ivers, one of thousands of girls who are crushing on him.”Grace Ivers is a good girl—cautious, responsible, always in control, a freshman in college…and a virgin. She is the girl no one notices because she does nothing to attract attention, even though she would give anything to be seen by her one and only college crush, the star defenseman of the hockey team. But good girls like Grace are not even on John Logan’s radar these days, his relentless pursuit of ‘easy lays’ whose name he is not even expected to know being the only kind of ‘relationship’ he appears to be interested in. Secretly, however, Logan craves the kind of intimacy and emotional bond his best friend and teammate, Garrett Graham, has found in his life, to the point of convincing himself of being in love with his best friend’s girl. When Logan and Grace accidentally meet, they are both pleasantly surprised by how effortless and enjoyable it is to spend time in each other’s company, their flickering attraction gaining momentum quickly and irresistibly, and while one kiss is all it takes for it to ignite, one confession is all it takes to destroy their budding relationship. As quickly as it started, it all ends in an instant, leaving them both heartbroken and full of regrets.“I was your distraction?”Not a man to give up easily on what he wants the most in life, Logan then commences his stubborn and utterly entertaining pursuit of the woman who has captured his heart like no other before her, determined to make her forgive him and give them one more chance. He woos her unashamedly, becoming his teammates’ running joke, but Logan is a man on a mission and he refuses to give up until the one who has stolen his heart is his once again.“Give me another chance. Let me prove to you that I’m not an egocentric ass.”There are so many fabulous layers to this story, all working perfectly together to deliver an engaging, uplifting, unputdownable tale of opposites attracting, of two people being exactly what the other needs, in good times and in bad, and never giving up on each other. Ms Kennedy has given us two characters who steal our hearts from the get-go—a popular jock, reformed womaniser whose loyalty and selflessness make him impossible not to adore, and a strong, independent, kind-hearted heroine who loves fiercely, but respects herself the same way. The hilarious banter, the heart-warming romance, the skin-tingling sex scenes, the colourful array of secondary characters—this book excelled in every aspect, keeping me enthralled for hours, and it again left me craving for more from the irresistible Briar boys and their kickass leading ladies.“I don’t want anyone else. All I want is another chance.”See this review on my blog! | Follow me on Facebook! | Follow me on Twitter!Amazon US: http://amzn.to/1DivPV0Amazon UK: http://amzn.to/1JSFDdVAmazon CA: http://amzn.to/1Je9vQM

5 "Question." His eyes twinkle. "Hit me." STARSWho knew going back to university would be so much fun??? I'll admit, having simply ADORED the first book, I was kinda scared that my expectations were too high and that I’d be disappointed. Well, Ms. Kennedy did it again!Just simply loved this book, such a great read. College junior and sexy hockey star, Logan, meets Grace Ivers, the pretty "girl next-door" freshman, by mistake. And from there, their relationship grows, stalls and restarts through a series of mistakes (some BIG and some small). I can’t get enough of this series. Seriously, this is NA at it's best. If you've not read The Deal or you have but, like me, you're not too sure if it'll hit it again, IT DOES. You must read this book. It'll have you laughing...dancing and smiling...wishing you were a fly on the wall in that house with four HOT hockey players...reliving those college days of cute, hot guys, hook ups or not... sighing and swooning...and you'll even get a little bit of this...What more could you ask for? I highly recommend this book and series!Guest reviewer for SlutSistas Book Blog. For more reviews and blog posts.

My new favourite hooked up characters!! If Logan is serious about us going out, I need more than a gruff apology and a crooked grin, he'll have to up his game.I loved the banter between these two, loved that we go to reconnect with previous characters (Garrett and Hannah), loved that it wasn't just bag and brag insta love and the story ends, and that is what I love about this author, even after all that the story progresses past that..You know the sucky thing when you finish a really really good book, you know a book funk is attached to the end of it gah!! This author has fast become one of my favourites on my facebook stalkers list..I was all mushy over Garrett but Logan by passes him by a mile for me, he's a jackass who just has no idea, he's a player, when he loves he loves fully, he sucks at poems, he's real..

***4,5 "You stupid jackass" stars***I loved "the Deal" and i was waiting like crazy for Logan's turn... The guy was cute and hilarious, but when his time had come, everybody was talking about how Logan wasn't like Garrett, and that fact made me to holding back... But why the fuck i was waiting???Now, I'm the position to say that i liked this story... even though that Logan made a mistake!!!I liked the plot, i liked Logan even when he wasn't good, i loved Grace... This girl was so great!!!Logan and Grace together had the perfect chemistry... They were so funny and they were fitting so good together!!! I also loved Garrett and Hannah and Dean!! (Man, I can't wait for your turn!!!)But let me say some things about the plot!!!John Logan was a little bit comfused. He was so sure that he was in love with his best friend's girlfriend and he was doing everything to avoid her and his friend... And his man-whoring ways were reaching another level...Grace was a freshman and she was living a quiet life. Her best friend was drugging her along to parties but she never find a guy to stay long enough around her, especially when she was starting bubbling like crazy...I personally think that her bubbling was so adorable... BahahahaThen one night, Logan knock by mistake Grace's door and just like that, their adventure begun...Yep, Logan was used to one night stands and Grace wasn't, but they ended up making out... But at the end Logan left like all the demons from hell were chasing him...Grace thought that the mighty John Logan was a douchebag and Logan couldn't stop thinking about her since it stuck to his mind that she was just pretending that she liked what he did to her... His man pride couldn't take it!!! So, he did something that he never done before. He returned!!!And from that moment, they came closer...But then Logan ruined everything... He did the biggest mistake of his life...He confessed everything he was feeling to Grace and Grace left...The irony was that after that, he just realized that she was the only one he wanted!!!Nice job, honey!!!Now, the summer had passed away and they both are returning back to college. What will happen with those two???Will Grace forgive him easily or she will refuse to have anything to do with him???And what about Logan??? He is having for real feelings for Grace???And how far he can go to win her back???"I’m not the type to play games. I’m really not. But I can’t fight this nagging distrust, the cynical voice in my head warning me his intentions might not be pure. Yet I also can’t bring myself to say no again, because another part of me, the one that loves spending time with this guy, wants me to say yes.God, maybe I do need him to prove it to me. Maybe I need him to show me how serious he is about dating me. An idea niggles at the back of my mind. It’s a crazy one. Outrageous, even. But hey, if Logan can’t tackle a few simple obstacles, then maybe he doesn’t deserve another shot."I enjoy and this story of the "Off-campus" series. It was having really funny moments and really sad moments...First of all, i liked how tied are Garrett, Logan, Dean and the baby face!!! Bahahaha...Secondly, as i said before i liked the chemistry between Grace and Logan...They were so good for each other... They were having so much fun together!!!I have to admit that in the beginning, i was a little bit mad with Logan about this obsession with Hannah and i didn't like it how he was acting around Garrett, his best friend!!! And yep, he made many mistakes with Grace... but i liked that he went out of his comfort zone to win back Grace...And yep, Grace made it a little bit difficult to take him back... and i liked that!!!How can you trust a guy after what Logan told her the night that she was about to give him her virginity???But yep, Logan changed and became such a sweetheart!!! His actions made me love him even more than before...."The possessive clench in my chest is…new. I don’t like it, but I can’t stop it, either. I’ve been playing the field since I started at Briar... And I didn’t care. This time I do care. The idea of Grace with another guy is unacceptable. I won’t go as far as to say she’s mine, but…well, she’s mine. Mine to hold and mine to kiss and mine to laugh with.Yup, mine." {Logan}"This guy continues to surprise me. To awe me. He’s a better person than I am, better than he gives himself credit for, and if I wasn’t sure about it before, then I’m damn well sure of it now." {Grace}Except from the "love" problems, we had and family problems for the Logans. John was forced after the graduation to follow a certain path in his life and to give up his own dreams and that was hurting him... The situation pissed me off more than once too...I don't like when the kids are becoming the adults in the family... I hate when the parents are like Logan's dad!!!I also didn't like very much, Grace's best friend... for several reasons!!!And now, i can't wait for Dean's turn!!! This dude is a very intrigued character!!!
