My hour with Steve Jobs certainly made me more nervous than any of those encounters. I know what you are thinking, but it's the truth. I do believe Jobs to be a truly great figure, one of the small group of innovators who have changed the world. He exists somewhere between showman, perfectionist overseer, visionary, enthusiast and opportunist, and his insistence upon design, detail, finish, quality, ease of use and reliability are a huge part of Apple's success.” Stephen Fry “I think Steve Jobs is way cooler than I am.” Elon Musk "It's not too much of a stretch to call Steve Jobs the father of the modern creative class," Dave Skaff...

The essential Steve Jobs, period.I've loved all of my Apple products (iPhones, iMac and iPad) instinctively and intuitively from the start. Now I know why. To truly appreciate the brilliant simplicity and user friendliness of everything Apple, I recommend reading how it all came about. And what can be better than hear the story told by the genius who knew what we wanted and needed before we did?

This isn't a standard biography or autobiography. It's actually a collection of many of Jobs' interviews and keynote presentations, but put together in such a way that it reads as an autobiography. Brilliantly compiled, and brilliantly informative. But if you've watched many of his interviews on YouTube then don't be surprised if you find you've heard these exact words before.

My view of Steve Jobs had always been a bit sceptical based on Walter Isaacson's diatribe of the man. Then I saw the movie based on that same book, and that also left a bad taste in my mouth. This book changed all that....Listening to the man tell his side of the story, and looking at various periods in hindsight, it somehow becomes obvious why he acted like an a**hole at times. For me this book clearly shows why Apple deserves to be the jugernaut it is today. To me as an entrepeneur this book is invaluable since it has chapters on managment, innovation and design, and I believe in time wil become a modern essential.

I agree that this is by far the most authoritative work on the American tech icon. This book I think is what you would call "a sleeper", because there's no one I know who actually knew of this book.Reading it somehow made me feel as if I stumbled upon a hidden treasure. I can imagine this is what the first people must have felt like that read "Catcher in the rye" or "1984" or some other classic. It somehow has that same undeniable timeless quality to it, that people in the future will view as an essential part of American and World history. I have recommended it to a whole bunch of people and they all thanked me for it.

This book is a must read for anyone interested in Apple, Steve Jobs and Pixar.Finishing this book made me feel really sad to realize that he's lost to history forever. Hearing him tell the story of his life and views just shows what a great human he really was.Highly recommended.

Fabulous! One of the most interesting autobiographies I've ever read. Steve Jobs basically takes you on a trip back to the 60's and 70's when Apple took off and gradually leads you into the "iAge".He was truly one of the most remarkable human beings to have ever walked the planet.

First, this book blew me away. And second, I would never have discovered this book had I not chanced upon it at Scribd... and I'm baffled more people don't mention it."Stay hungry, stay foolish"

Steve Jobs was a great innovator in developing new techology, and was great in business and he had a vision for the future no else had. He was a perfectionist and I read he was not a very nice man to people.
