Review to come...The character growth is amazing. Ellie is a hard nut to crack but like her daddy when she loves someone passionately there is no stopping her from loving you completely!Alex made my black heart swoon...YES I said SWOON DAMN IT!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Check out this review and others : I received this book from the author for an honest review.Oh Ellie *SMH* What a troubled and hurtful life you had growing up under your fathers control. The Drake was not a good father. He was not kind, loving or in any way nurturing to you. The only thing he did was give you a lovely roof over your head, have a devoted half-sister for you and introduce you to Marce who is more a mother/friend for Ellie.Alex *sigh* What a wonderful life you lived with Mrs. Dutton. Your parents abandoned you but still you grew up with love and devotion from this woman who sacrificed do much for you. You may have been cold, poor and hungry but you never went without love. The two of you had such a different life.Ellie and Alex are thrown together because he is the hired stable hand at Ellie’s father’s home. She can’t stop watching him and wondering about him but she always treats him high handed and rudely. She is the bastard daughter of the Drake. She is his spitting image at times. Alex cannot stop watching Ellie out of the corner of his eye. Her sister asked him to keep an eye out for her. Alex finds he enjoys knowing she is there hiding in the shadows while he works but wonders why she is so mean when they do exchange words. She lived a wonderful life of riches how can she be so miserable???Ellie is about to lose her home when a “new claim” is being made on her father’s estate. With Alex’s help they get the papers she needs to try and stop the new owner from taking over. The paper that Ellie gets sends her into a spiral…what she discovers is critical to not only her future but Alex’s as well. Now does she tell him or not? Does she risk losing all for a STABLE HAND???The two have such an amazing journey in this story. You can see them both growing but Ellie’s growth knocked me off my socks. She makes such strides in overcoming her personality flaws for fear of ending up like her father….cold, miserable, heart broken and alone. Alex is stunned by what is discovered and cannot believe the changes it will make for his life but one thing he cannot risk is losing Ellie to his new life circumstances.

I received an ARC from the author of Hidden No More and Christina McKnight has knocked it out of the park with this one. This book is the last in A Lady Forsaken series and all of the characters from the other books make an appearance in this one. This book is Ellington or Ellie as she is referred to often and Alex's story. They have both been hurt. Ellington, by Andrew Payton the Marques of Drake her Father who wouldn't claim her but wouldn't let her go either.Alex has been physically hurt and crippled in a carriage accident that killed his parents when he was a babe leaving him an orphan. Never knowing his family he yearns for someone of his own to love. Can these two come together and overcome their past? Or will their past dictate their future? This is a must read book! The Characters are so well written you feel like you are there with them feeling what they are feeling. I sometimes wanted to wring Ellie's neck and the next minute I wanted to hug her.

I'm one of the lucky few who get to read Christina's stuff before it releases so, by now, you'd think I'd have figured out how she does it. Nope. Not yet. Thankfully, I look forward to many more attempts at it. :) She creates these characters that I'd put on a corset and dress just to meet and hang out with. I'm not a typical HR reader, but a great character is a great character no matter where - or when - they are. Alex. Oh, Alex. Where can I get one like him? He's basically the perfect man--troubled by his past but has totally risen above it. Damn, I loved him. And Ellie is such a perfect contrast to him, it was almost as if they were written for each other. haha <-- lame writer joke.I really enjoyed this one (and all the others in this series). It had great twists and the perfect amount of *sigh-he's-so-awesome* moments.

This was a first for me by Christina McKnight...and although it's last in a series I really wasn't lost.Ellie and Alex are great characters who have both been let down time and time again. Ellie by her father and Alex by life. Ellie, daughter of a duke and a lady of the night...Alex, an orphan...left by his parents after being hurt as a babe in a carriage accident...he goes to work at the Dukes stables. The Duke treats Ellie horribly, so she's a beaten down soul and always by herself...chasing after her kitten Ember...ok, really watching Alex from the upper loft of the barn. The storyline was really good, the writing was great. So smooth and engaging, I was able to zip right through the story, it flowed so well. I love finding new to me authors and with this wonderfully written story by Ms McKnight I've found a new historical romance author.4.5 stars

I enjoyed this well written addition to the A Lady Forsaken series very much. It has an intriguing story line that draws you in from the start. The characters are intense and have remarkable connections. Two wounded souls come together to make this an exciting journey toward happiness. Must read, you won't be disappointed.Gifted a copy for an honest review

Hidden No More (A Lady Forsaken, Book 4) by Christina McKnightThe story of Lady Ellington (Ellie) and Alex was filled with hidden secrets revealed, as well as misunderstandings. Ellie doesn’t trust easily and men especially. Alex finds out he’s been lied to all his life. Again, wasn’t sure we were going to get a HEA. Great job.

Thank you Christina for such a beautiful story. What a beautiful ending. My sadness about Drake's story was replaced with happiness and a huge smile. Drake did think of Ellie after all by giving her what she needed most, love, from Alex. Love it, a must read!!
