This was the first book I have read by Dallas Cole and I already have two more books on my TBR shelf.Elena's uncle Drazic took her in when her parents died instead of letting her go into the system which is what some others would have done, Elena has been raised tinkering with the cars that the crew members raced in her uncle's shop. The crew - Lennox, Troy, Nash, Jagger, and Cyrus all respected Elena for the way she takes care of each of their cars and they all accepted her into their fold when he uncle was granted custody of her. Lennox was always someone that Elena crushed on, that was until he caused a terrible accident that left one of their crew members (Troy) dead and Lennox was sent to prison. Now Lennox is out after serving his sentence and Elena finds herself still crushing on him....not a good thing since she is dating short tempered Nash (Troy's brother). I have to say that most of the primary and secondary characters were likeable even when they were being jerks...especially Nash, there were times he could have used a good beatdown or two, but even then I held out hope for him. I hated the people Lennox worked for but since no one else would hire him with his record he didn't have much of a choice especially since he was caring for his elderly grandmother. I did like the way he handled himself though in some very tough situations. I also loved the chemistry between Elena and Lennox, but I have to admit that there is something about Jagger that I seem to be drawn to and I cannot wait to read his story.

This is the first book I’ve read of Dallas Cole’s. I enjoyed it very much. It was fast, paced and kept you on the edge of your seat. Elena is the good girl mechanic of a racing crew. Lennox is a former member of the crew who recently got out of prison. Lennox has been banished from the crew of the death of one of the crew members while driving drunk. Elena has always been in love with Lennox and Lennox has always had the same feelings for her. Can they moved beyond the past, other’s people’s objections and new threats to have their happily ever after? You’ve have to read it find out. I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Surely love conquers all right? That’s what Elena has felt most of her young life. If you love someone, it’s with your whole heart and all the extra baggage that may come along. She sure hasn’t had an easy life from the get go. When she was left with her only other living relative at a tender age, she had to learn to be tough and fast. Both things that were necessary for her to help her Uncle in his shop and run his crew. The very crew that has kept her sheltered all these years is about to have some major shake up. Is it possible to go back?Elena had a girlhood crush on Lennox once upon a long time ago. Even though she figured that she didn’t deserve his attention or even turn his head in the right direction. He was her rock when nobody else could be or would be. She was used to being treated like she was breakable or lost. Lennox didn’t do that with her. Instead he told her like he saw it and really listened. She loved him in so many different ways. The day that tragedy strikes, their “family” is torn apart and shredded. It wasn’t a quick thing either. Suddenly accidents happen and consequences are passed down in a hurry. But is it really right? Who deems whether the punishment is right and for whom? I think that’s a fair take on things in life in general. Elena doers everything she can to patch up the wounds left by the sudden trauma. Like with any wound, it doesn’t always heal nicely.Lennox had to pay for his own sins, and sins of others. He has had to live with a mass amount of heartbreak and hardship in previous years. There isn’t anybody who truly knows what he’s had to live through. Only two others know the truth behind the trauma. He’s had to keep the secret safe in order to just make it through and save the ones he loves the most. So he sucks it up, deals with and accepts what life has brought him. When he is finally back into his old world in some ways, he gets hit straight on with one obstacle after another. He’s no longer looked at with care and support. He’s no longer the phenom he once was in his street racing crew days. Now he’s a reminder of what is no longer there. There will be those who will do anything they can to make him pay fully for it all. More than one that look to end it all once and for all.As this chaos ensues, Lennox and Elena find their way back to each other. She shows such unconditional love for him, regardless of all of it. He doesn’t feel he deserves her or her love. She wants to smack him around for being a dummy. They confess their true feelings for each other and then figure out a way to make everyone happy.Elena is so tired of fighting, hiding, and being put off. She wants to get out there and race. To have the crew go legit and to be able to do more for her makeshift family than she’s been allowed previously. Lennox is the only one she feels can get her closer to her goals. He has to learn all over again what it means to accept the good parts of someone's being. They’re both broken and trying to fix each other. She wants to fix her crew. He has to take up with a scary crew. She has to fight for her life. He has to fight to just plain out live. She loves him more than he knows. He doesn’t want her pity. They’re a big sloppy mess mixed in with a crazy set of supporting characters. This is a good story deep within. It has some really good messages about strength, love, and pride. There was a fair amount of steam and some action! I liked this one a lot. Dallas started out with a good foundation for this series. It will be interesting to see how things change up for all of the crew. Positives:There are a few powerful messages with in the story if you pay attention. There are a few that will make you think and reflect. There is a decent amount of backstory to Lennox and Elena, so it’s not difficult to figure out their connection beyond the obvious.Plenty of hot and steamy romance! I’m always happy to have a book that can balance it out with the action and drama.Negatives:There are a few points that really slowed down for me. It dragged a little in spots, but nothing terrible.I was frustrated by the lack of consequences for some in the story. Yes, I realize that is probably done for a reason and just be patient to see what happens in the future books. (This is the talk I give to myself EVERY TIME!)I would have liked to know a little more about Elena’s family and their reasons for going stateside. (Yes, again I realize this might come through in future books. There’s that lecture again!)I actually snagged the next one in the series already! The story is gripping enough to really make me want to push forward and find out more. The nosy abibliophobiac inside me demands it!I would recommend this book to anyone that loves bad boys, down and dirty, and action. Oh and don’t forget the steam! I give it 4 out of 5 stars.I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Things aren't always what they seem Elena's uncle Drazic has been her legal guardian since she was eight. After her parents died, he kept her out of the foster care system or worse. He would and does anything for her, that's why she doesn't question where the funds that keep the shop afloat and the crew out of debt. Not everything they do is legal, parts that're so far above and beyond what they should be able to afford. They race in an underground circuit, where for the most part the cops leave them alone. Unless someone gets hurt, or causes trouble. Elena is a mechanic in her uncle Drazic's shop, Drazic Muscleworks. She knows every part and how they’re supposed to work. She knows how to tune them just right to make them perform better, and can tell when something is about to give out. **Take good care of a car, and it’ll take good care of you.** Cars and numbers are uncomplicated, those she gets, people on the other hand are complicated, just when you think everything's fine, it all goes to hell. Elena's job has always been to cleanup behind the scenes, whether it's the cars they chew up on the circuit, their wounds by the mishaps boys/men will get into, or their messy finances. One of the crew members Lennox (Drazic's crew as they call themselves), killed another member Troy by driving drunk. Troy was also Nash's brother and best friend. This tore up the crew, they've collectively erased his name permanently from memories. No one speaks or even thinks his name, well almost no one. Elena does sometimes because she was so young and had tried so long and hard to get his attention. But now she does **uncomplicated boys who don’t pound shots and get behind the wheel of a four-ton hunk of steel** -which is Nash! Lennox was supposed to be in prison for a long time for manslaughter, but got out in less than 3 & 1/2 years. On her way home Elena came upon a broken down Camry on the side of the road with its hazards on. She's got a pretty good selection of roadside emergency tools, just have to diagnose the problem first. She's careful though like her uncle warned her, she's prepared with the butterfly knife that's on her keychain, just in case. But she drops them as soon as she sees who steps out from under the hood. It's Lennox Solt! She's the best damn mechanic in the business and Lennox won't let her sell herself short. He's thankful she's the one who found & rescued him on the side of the road. Elena's feelings for him come back full force as soon as she heard he'd been released, she missed him, but cannot understand how he could do this to their family. **Something isn’t adding up, and like a broken-down muscle car, I’m determined to fix it up.**There are lots of twists and turns throughout this story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading what Elena uncovers. It ends as a HEA, but not what I expected when I started reading! I loved reading about their racing expeditions, and makes me want to get back to the tracks sites and sounds, there just isn't a substitute for the feeling when you're there. Due to sexual situations and language, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older! I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review! I give Dallas Cole 5 stars for Outlaw's Last Race! It may have been the first book I've read of hers, but it won't be the last! Favorite Passages:~Take good care of a car, and it’ll take good care of you~*uncomplicated boys who don’t pound shots and get behind the wheel of a four-ton hunk of steel**~**Something isn’t adding up, and like a broken-down muscle car, I’m determined to fix it up.**

Not a bad read. The story was developed and the pace picked up about halfway through the book. Some things I liked in the book were that the author showed Lennox as a damaged and somewhat defeated man, trying to rebuild his life after early release from prison. It was hard and you can see the limited choices he had before he chose the path he took. I also liked that Elena was a kick ass mechanic and driver (even though she was not allowed to drive until later). Some things I didn't like were that it took a long time for the crew (well Elena) to realize that something was off with Lennox’s side of the story about the accident. Since the crew was his family and they knew the type of person he was, they were quick to coldly kick him out and didn’t question anything about the accident even after the trial and subsequent prison sentence. These folks are supposed to be tough and can see through BS but nothing about the accident raised any flags with them. I also hated that Elena allowed the crew to treat her like a second class citizen and not an integral part of the crew (seriously, she works on and fix their cars).I wanted a little more character development for Elena and Lennox. Elena was somewhat one dimensional but there was a personality spike by the end of the book when she finally developed a backbone and her strength was allowed to shine through. Lennox didn’t seem to get past the accident. I think he needed a little more anger to ultimately stand up to Nash. He didn’t always have to turn the other cheek every time he was confronted by Nash. How did Jagger and Cyrus become part of the crew? What’s Uncle Drazic’s story. I guess more will be revealed as the series continues. All in all, the book was good (channeled a little Fast & Furious fun during the races). I would read more from this author. She has talent and hopefully the more she writes the better she’ll get. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book from Hidden Gems for an honest review.

I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.Just finish reading this book and love it, its the first book that I read from this author and I have to say that I like how she writes. I felt in love with the book from the first chapter to the last one, I have to say that this book got me mad at one point but I love it, I am going to keep this short since I don't want to give nothing away.Elena is part of a street racing crew she is the one behind the scene, she the one that fix the cars she loves to be under the hood that's her happy place. She grow up with her uncle and his crew and she was always in love with one member Lennox. He also feels the same way for her but Lennox had made her a promise but one terrible night change their life for ever. Now three years later and Lennox is out of jail and start to get his life back, mean while Elena is trying to be happy with her boyfriend but once the crew find out that Lennox is out everything goes to hell. But Elena is the first one that gets to see him and all those feeling are back. when she forgives him and start spending more time with him she realize that the crew had made a big mistake and is up to her to let them see that but something else happened and Lennox don't have no other choice but to ask fore their help. Will the crew forgive me and accept him back to in to the family? or will they turn their backs on him once again.I really love and enjoy reading this book, love how Elena and Lennox are with each other, love it how Lennox will do anything and everything for the one that he loves to keep them safe, love it how Elena stood up for her self and for how quick minded she is, and what can I say the Sex Scene are Hot.Author Dallas Cole THNAK YOU for introducing me to this awesome characters and this amazing book love it cant wait to read more of your books.

Elena is apart of her Uncle's Crew, by Crew it means that she works on race cars and cars in general, and there are more parts to the Crew that she has been kept out of that is Illegal. Her biggest Weakness has always been Lennox, she has been in love with him for as long as she has known him. Lennox is just getting out of prison for an accident that happened three and a half years ago that killed a man, he used to be apart of the Crew and family but has since been thought of as dead. What happens when Elena runs into Lennox again? What I enjoyed most about Outlaw's Last Race is watching Elena go behind her families back to see Lennox and see that he is worth what ever comes from them seeing each other, falling back in love with him all over again, and watching Lennox want what is best for Elena and thinking she deserves more then he can give her at the time. Watching Lennox do what ever it takes to keep Elena safe even if it includes risking his life to save her when the unthinkable happens. I love the part that is barely mentioned of the car accident and finding out the truth in what really happened that horrible night. This book is AMAZING I couldnt put it down, I loved Loved Loved this book. No boring parts to be found, this story keeps you on the edge of your seat as you just can not wait to find out what will happen next. This story has Crew's that means you are apart of a family even if not by blood but loyalty, lots of car racing, hot romance between Elena and Lennox and a love story. SOme dangerous moments that you have no clue how it will end, but when it counts family that will stick together to keep the family together! If you like stories like this, then Outlaw's Last Race is a must!!

**5+ Stars for this Debut*****ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review***Elena Drazic has been in love with Lennox Solt for as long as she can remember. Lennox makes a promise to her that someday he will make her his. Until a tragedy struck and landed Lennox in prison. Almost 4 years later, Lennox is let out and there is major tension between him, Elena, and the rest of Muscleworks Crew. Drazic, Elena's Uncle and the leader of the Crew, refuses to let Lennox back in for what he has done and considers him dead. But Elena knows Lennox, and feels he has served his time. Will they be able to get Drazic and the rest of the Muscleworks Crew to forgive and let him back in? Or will Elena have to choose between the man she loves or the only family she has?I have been dying to read this book as soon as I discovered it!!! When the author asked me if I wanted to read and review Lennox, I replied with a YESSSS!! For this being Dallas Cole's debut novel, it was extremely well written. As soon as I read the first couple of lines, I was hooked. Knowing this story had a plot line with racing in it, I was excited to see where she went with it. I have read other stories with talk about racing, cars, and other things automotive but, this is the best written one of them all. You can tell the author knows what she is talking about. She helps you understand what is being done and helps you visualize the racing going on. The characters were amazing. They all grew in their own way by the end. Overall, this is one of the best debut novels I have ever read, and I feel blessed to have had the privilege of reading it.

First book from this author and it did not disappoint. Almost reminds me of Fast and Furious, but the hot girl Elena is the mechanic for her Uncle's racing crew. Since she's the niece he took over raising after her parents died, he keeps her away from the shady things the crew does in order to keep the garage she works at running. She's been dating Nash for the past two years and everything seems great until Nash loses it when Lennox comes back to town. Lennox just got out of prison for the manslaughter death of a crew member--Nash's brother. As if dealing with Nash wasn't enough, now Elena has to deal with her feelings resurfacing for Lennox.Lennox isn't surprised by the cold reception after he is released from prison. Nor is he surprised to see how much of a beauty Elena has turned into. He is surprised of how quickly she is willing to forgive him of his past sins. He knows he should stay away, it would be better for her, but he just can't. Trouble has come looking for him yet again, but now the stakes are higher. It's not just his life that is at stake this time.....Loved the drama, the suspense, the hotness between Elena and the men who want her, but also the cars. Sorry but I really liked reading about the old school American muscle cars. Lennox was looking for redemption and Elena was trying to figure who she actually was. Great story line that keeps you turning the pages and imaging you are in the driver's seat. **I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

Outlaw’s Last Race by Dallas ColeDesignation: Standalone, part of a seriesLennox has just been released from prison after causing the death of his best friend and teammate. Now he is trying to be a better person, but with no options he takes a job with the McManus crew. His old Drazic crew still blames him for the death of their teammate and his brother Nash wants to make him pay. Elena realizes she still has feeling for Lennox, but to pursue him means giving up the only family she has ever known.I really liked Elena. She tried so hard to be her own person, but all the guys around her protected her like she was their little sister. I loved how Lennox did everything he could to protect his family. It was a quick, fast paced read with enough action and suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat. I received a ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. I loved reading about Lennox and Elena and so will you. I couldn't stop reading it once I got started reading. Elena has loved him since she was a teenager. He felt he wasn't good enough for her but promised one day he would be and she would be all his and he would be all hers then. Elena has grown to be a strong and tough mechanic for her uncle. Lennox has just been released early from prison. She has never forgotten him or his promise and he has never forgotten her or his promise to her. Will he hold true to his promise? Will he become a better man for her? Or fall back to his old ways? Will she be able to chose for love or loyalty? Family? Or Crew?

Fast paced story, quick read. Lennox is released from prison, trying to begin a new life but his old life is refusing to allow back in. In prison from accidentally killing his best friend he finds his old racing family has blocked him out he has no other alternative but to begin working for the McManus family, an old racing rival and very shady business people, forcing him to do jobs he's not entirely okay with. His bright spot is Elena the girl from his crew, the one of his memories that got him through his sentence. Elena has always had a crush on Lennox, even though he was sent away she still had her feeling and thought that he had served his time and deserved a second chance. Intrigue, fast cars and passion what more could anyone ask for?

    * * ARC given on behalf of obsessed by books for an honest review * * Lennox is bad ass. He's a rebel outcast with blood on his hands. he may have done time, paid his dues but when you turn your back on an Crew it's never paid up. Lennox tries hard to man even if his family has outcast him, but when past appears along with feelings he will make good on a promise he made Elena years ago. Elena is a grease monkey and she loves it, she knows what it is to be faithful to a crew and when Lennox comes back she knows it won't be easy for him but she didn't realize how hard it would be for to fight the feelings that never left.

This is the first book I’ve read of Dallas Cole’s. I enjoyed it very much. It was fast, paced and kept you on the edge of your seat. I love how Dallas writes. The details of Lennox dealing with being out of jail was very good. Elena is family but not crew. It's an important distinction. It's one she hates. She is good enough to help but not to be part of the crew. She loves her family but still feels the losses. When a ghost from the past, doesn't stay in the past Elena struggles with what she really wants. It's a decent story and entertaining.

An enjoyable read from a new author to me. This outlaw had a big heart that just kept getting him into trouble. Apart from a lull in the middle I found this book to be fast paced, sexy, suspenseful and worth the read. I will definitely be picking up the second book in this series.

It did have a Fast and the Furious vibe to it a little, but I'm really good with that. I love the world the author created for these people and I felt like I really wanted to meet them.
