Vernon And The Snake Reviews
Vernon and the Snake is ‘The Favorite’ book in our house right now. This cleverly crafted story is entertaining for the whole family! ‘Vernon and the Snake’ is really two stories combined into one book. The series of events in the book is told from two different points of view, from Vernon’s and from the Snake’s. Everything about this book screams creativity. You open the book from one side and read the story from the eyes of Vernon, a little boy who goes about his day in his backyard as little boys do, only to discover to his horror that there is a snake also living in his backyard. After much consideration and entertaining detail, Vernon decides perhaps the snake isn’t such a threat after all. Then you open the book from the other side to read the Snake’s point of view. Snake was merely going about his life as only snakes do, and out of nowhere he becomes endangered by a very scary monster in the form of Vernon. After careful surveillance of the monster’s every move and very strange habits, Snake also realizes that this strange monster is not a direct danger to him or any of his snake friends. This is an amazing story on perspective and a wonderful portrayal of the classic message, ‘there are two sides to every story!’ It would serve as a rich resource in the classroom or at home. My boys have me read it over and over; the fun storyline and engaging pictures never get old. The illustrations are bright, colorful and equally as creative as the entertaining story told in rhyme. I definitely recommend this story for children of all ages, it’s a hit! ‘Vernon and the Snake’ is available worldwide through Amazon. It is 24 pages and available in hardcover. The ISBN is 978-1425114527.To learn more about the very creative Crystal Stranaghan, visit the following sites:http://www.crystalstranaghan.comhttp://www.liveyourdreamworkshops.comhttp://www.diningout101.com
