    I am not a fan of poetry, but Pope could turn me into one with this. Again, this was one of my A Level texts, but I'm glad it was as it would probably have been the only way I'd have found this poem. Pope offers a really humorous piece of satire towards the upper classes, with his allusions to epic literature adding a really comic tone that makes the lengthy read enjoyable and seem less dragged out. Researching this for A Level has been really interesting and this particular copy has been really helpful with the notes after the poem - I'd advise people doing A Level to use this copy if they need some understanding of the poem, especially if the language confuses you.

    I prefer my mock epics to be heavier on action as opposed to description, but some very clever stuff here
