Straight from the Horse's Mouth: How to Talk to Animals and Get Answers Reviews
I discovered this after our kitty passed away in her second decade. I needed to know other people are aware animals are as sentient as we are; that the expression about them being "voiceless" is inaccurate. I always knew they understand everything we say and that they're responding to us too. But I was thunderstruck to find the proof I had hoped for. People were indeed the ones who weren't understanding when animals spoke. The inferior communicator wasn't them. It also teaches ways to understand what they are saying! It changed my life and was all the proof I will ever need, that my beliefs and inklings were right!I hadn’t heard of Amelia Kinkade or the wonderful practice of “animal communication”. She happens to be Rue McClanahan’s niece. She spins narrow-minded perception and the human illusion of superiority on its head. The question of whether other mammals and every other animal speaks, reasons, and has opinions are the chief reason for presuming inferiority and disposability. Imagine how many fewer would be eaten or killed for being homeless, if you witnessed or held for yourself a two-way conversation with them! Their lives depend on us having this information.I hope Amelia teaches in Canada. She reaches unhesitatingly into the soul of loving animals as family; revealing they do think of us as “Mom & Dad” and their answer to everyone’s most poignant question: “Do they know how much I love them?”.... is an easy YES! Tears streamed, when she described what it was like the moment her cat crossed over of natural causes. I rejoiced at finding this book. It refreshed my grieving soul. I need it again, unfortunately for our sweet cat son, gone twenty years too soon. I’ll try to take heart that our connection hasn’t gone anywhere.
Amelia has a funny and easygoing writing style. I really liked all of the exercises and meditations in the book and was amazed and touched by many of her anecdotes. I definitely feel confident in learning to communicate with animals after reading her book.
At least it was well written and fun to read.
As with her book The Language of Miracles, I found her understanding and explanation of spiritual things just as deep and enjoyable as her knowledge of animal communication.
i really don't think this is a nessessary book for a kid like me, but I really want to talk to my kitty. so Ill give it a try.
