Reading the book "Success for Teens" was very informative. Many kids try to figure out how they can be a more successful person. In this book it discusses how you can be the best person you can be and how you can make the most of your talents and dreams in life. Some key principles they state in here are time management, goal-setting, self-esteem, self-motivation, dream-building, habits, and purpose. They use examples from real teenagers lives and show a solution using the principles above on how a person can deal with the situation. I find this book good for teenagers who are looking to better themselves, any gender. This book really transformed me into a person that can be more diversified and open-minded. I think this book is well worth reading if you want to better yourself and become a totally renewed person.

This book is meant to help teens to become successful. However, I believe that this book is meant for everyone. While it is best to hear this helpful information when you're young, it also would help any adult to climb out of a bad situation such as losing a job or your own self-esteem. This book helps to encourage teens to be the best people they can be. You can write in this book your goals and dreams to help change your life as you go through the steps in this book, which I found helpful to organize your thoughts and feelings as you read. A cool thing this book has is, real teens writing about how they got out of a tough family life and were successful. It's good to hear inspiration from real people who have tested out the slight edge. This helps to convince you that using the tips in this book can help improve anyone's life. The eight main tips of the slight edge to be successful in this book are: 1) Little Things Matter 2) Attitude Is Everything 3) Use the Moment 4) Everything Starts with Small Steps 5) There's No Such Thing As Failure 6) Habits Are Powerful 7) You're Always Learning 8) You Can Make Your Dreams into Reality

Unbearably cheesy, but my friend and I laughed our heads off. I had to read this for school and I feel like I'm going through a self-help phase. The writing was interesting and I had no problems staying awake. I especially enjoyed the stories in the gray boxes and the workbook format. Highly recommend for new teenagers.

Gary Wilbers from Mi-America Wireless and Ascend Business Strategies gave me this book. To me, this book is better than the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Love both books.

Review: 8 out of 10 starsSuccess For Teens: Real Teens Talk About Using The Slight Edge informs its readers how to use the Slight Edge to accomplish your goals and dreams. It uses the testimonies of many teenagers and has interactive questionnaires at the end of each chapter.Short but satisfying read. This would be a 9 or 10 star if it had changed my life, but it didn't. I did get one lesson, though, which I am going to use in my relationship with God: Destroy bad habits at the root of the problem. This book did exceed my expectations by not being actually boring! It was actually engaging, especially the testimonies from other teenagers.Recommendation: I would, but a lot of teens wouldn't just pick this up and read it (except for me).

Positive - the first think I could think of as to define the book. Doesn't make you feel low about your bad habits, but makes you believe you can easily turn them into positive ones by just doing a few small steps every day so that they compound over time and you get a positive result. Makes you believe you can achieve your goals by just defining them and sticking by the plan you've created. No drastic changes - steps easy to do, as well as easy not to do. Good examples and a long list of further books to read. Thanks for the recommendation ^^

I had to read this for a Senior class to help us with our college process. This book was really good and very eye opening. It taught me to look up and myself and to not think so lowly of myself and other for that fact. It taught me how to do the right things and the consequences of going both the good and the bad thing. I recommend this to any teen (15+)!

I love the workbook format of this book! every chapter has a place at the end for the reader to apply the principle just taught to himself. it's minimal but effective. I also appreciate the many stories used to illustrate how others have applied those principles in their own lives. This book really helped motivate the teens I mentor with.

Great book. Wonderful resource for anyone who works with teens and young adults. The lessons I learned from my parents are spelled out in the book with examples from teens. This is a great book forparents of teens who do not think their parents understand their issues and concerns.

This is the basic primer every mentor or parent should use to begin talking about goals with their students/kids. Very straightforward workbook style. Great discussion questions. Also works in the leadership group settings like I do.

This book is very informational. I enjoyed it because it helped me a lot. It also gave me some things to think about since I am goring up and I am preparing for collage.
