I liked it. Simple, amusing, with quite good characters and easy to read if you want to improve your english.

Short and hectic. That ending was an astounding twist.

I read this book because it is written by my favourite author and it was a short and simple book i could read in this bus. I liked the simplicity and complications and the same time. It is a short and sweet book. I didn't like however how the story ended. My favourite character in this story is the grandfather of Lucas. He is easy yet witty. Money hungry but ignorant. He is an interesting character not a usual old man you would expect. “never feel guilty about anything shame and guilt are a waste of time just do what you do-- and deal with it” this is true and it made me think deeply about the game of life i often find myself thinking about life and Kevin usually relates his stories to realistic life problems which is one reason why i like his writing. He is true and original.I recommend this book for anyone who doesn't like reading. It has many thrills but its quite short. And pleasing.

This was actually quite a suspenseful book considering how few pages it has. You really feel for him because his male family are awful and while reading the story, you can imagine how bad it must be to sit in that house with 3 generations of your family who ignore you when you visit. I liked how the day was dull and ordinary one minute then from the arrival of one person the whole book changes to a suspenseful thriller and you aren't certain which way it is going to go.Really good short read.

Another suspenseful tale by my favorite author, Kevin Brooks. With just a few curse words, this book would make an excellent read aloud for adolescents. There are a few plot twists and the story moves very quickly. Finbar is spending a boring Saturday afternoon with his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Everything is as mundane as usual until a girl breaks in with a gun and a bag full of cash. Finbar is unsure of what she plans to do, but the older generations in his family may be just as unpredictable. I'm anxious to see what my tutorial students think of this book!

I have a tendency to rate authors by how good their short stories are. I read this in about an hour and although I liked it, it is certainly not reminiscent of Brooks' standard. The writing seemed slightly rushed to me, and the ending was rather bizarre. Worth a read but certainly wouldn't recommend this to someone who had never read any Brooks beforehand.

Tavallinen pakkovierailu lauantai-iltapäivänä isän, isoisän ja isoisoisän luona. Takaovesta paukahtaa sisään aseistettu moottoripyöräkuteissa oleva tyyppi, poliisi piirittää talon ja sitten aletaan hieroa kauppaa...Mukava lopputwisti, helppoa lukion enkkuvinkkauksiin.

Well... it was OK. Took me about an hour to read, easy language and concepts. A nice but simple story, with slight plot twists.

Read to see which teens it would appeal to. Basically about 4 generations of a family (all the older ones being wheelie dealers) coming face to face with a young thief. They try to outdo each other.
