The Modern British Novel Reviews
There are very few books like tis around and this one is good at giving a sense of the common climate that influenced how they came to be written as well as approaching the key worlds form more than one angle so there are some useful perspectives. Nothing radically illuminating here for me, however but a book worth dipping into.
Systematic and detailed. A bit messy but that's fine.
